**Bangkok Corner: Tiny Space, Big Flavor, No Fancy Decor—4 Stars!**
Let’s be real: if you’re looking for sleek decor or Instagram-worthy interiors, **Bangkok Corner** isn’t going to give you any of that. The “decor” is basically the kind of cozy charm that says, *"Hey, we’re not here for ambiance, we’re here for epic food at prices that won’t make your wallet cry."* The restaurant is small—probably about 20 seats, and parking lot is small.
But who needs fancy decor when the food here is basically a flavor explosion? Let’s start with the **papaya salad**. If you’ve never had papaya salad that practically punches you in the face with its spicy, tangy goodness, then you’re in for a treat. It’s the kind of salad that makes you rethink your entire salad philosophy—suddenly, every other salad you’ve ever eaten feels like it’s just showing up for the free snacks. The crunch, the spice, the zest… it’s like a mini party in your mouth. And it’s affordable enough that you’ll want to throw a party in your mouth every day.
Then there’s the **spicy basil noodles**. Honestly, calling them “spicy” feels like an understatement. These noodles are so flavorful, they make you *feel* like you’re in Thailand—without the jet lag. The heat sneaks up on you, then it hits you with that perfect balance of spice and savory goodness that’ll have you slurping up noodles like your life depends on it. The only thing more satisfying than finishing your plate is knowing you didn’t have to sell a kidney to afford it.
And finally, the **Prik King stir fry**. Oh, the Prik King. It's the stir fry version of a high five to your taste buds. The veggies are crisp, the sauce is rich and spicy, and honestly, if this dish were a person, I’d invite it to my wedding.
Look, you’re not coming to Bangkok Corner for the ambiance. You're coming for the food—flavor-packed, no-frills, bang-for-your-buck food that’ll leave you wondering how they fit so much awesome into a little restaurant. And yeah, the decor is not so fancy. But who cares when you're too busy shoveling down papaya salad and spicy noodles, grinning like a noodle-loving maniac?
Four stars for a tiny restaurant with *massive* flavor and prices so affordable, it almost feels like a heist. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you.

Delicious and very decently priced Thai food. I had the spring roll and Pineapple Curry. Both were so flavorful and filling. Even had a whole serving for leftovers. Will definitely be frequently here more!

This place used to be good, not anymore.
I picked up two orders of fresh spring rolls yesterday, the shrimps were tiny and there was almost no chicken in them. The size has considerably gotten smaller too. Not worth the price.
Food is acceptable, but almost every time I went I was charged more than the posted prices. Sometimes $4 more for a dish than the in-store menu said. I finally just started going to a place that is further away but honest.

Super nice staff but it’s so hard to remember how much more value the food was before (>10 years). The curry is all liquid, little meat and some vegetables. The stir fry’s and noodles are still tasty. The location was more of a restaurant a decade ago and now it’s just a pass through for app delivery drivers. We would walk and dine before but the ambiance is not the same. My usual orders are yellow or green curry, pad sew tofu, beef basil noodles, vegetable stir fry, fresh spring rolls, steak salad. I love the tastes and they’re always nice but food is different. Parking is a challenge. I walk.

My favorite in the area by far! Nothing fancy or elaborate, just solid Thai classics. They aren't shy about the spiciness level.

I love this Thai Place. The owner is super kind and we love to get authentic Thai food right here. The food tastes delicious and is one of our go to Take Out Restaurants here in Costa Mesa.
I love Bangkok Sidewalk (pad kra pao) and the Tom kha gai soup is also absolutely delicious.
