Limited gluten free pastry menu. On the day we were here just a single cheesecake and no breakfast options were available gluten free.
Day old pastries are $2.
Lots of seating
Found this place while looking for some time to kill between clients. Breakfast and latte were amazing, love the atmosphere, and plenty of parking!
Coffee is trash and the service is worse. Their espresso machine was so caked with old grounds I could see it from the counter and they kept telling me they didn’t know why my 7 dollar espresso tasted like old trash. They also charge 15 plus a plate for breakfast, which I was too afraid to eat after seeing the cleanliness of their front end operation.
Cozy vintage little cafe!
Nice and friendly customer service!
Wonderful atmosphere, very great coffeehouse vibes. Remember to try some of the pastries or hot food items! Check out the merch
This location is very pleasant and relaxing. They have bake goods, cookies, breads, gingerbread cookies, breakfast sandwiches, and lunch sandwiches at lunch hours. The atmosphere changes per season or unique days like Star Trek day. Kid friendly.
Parking: Depending on the time of day, it's hard to find parking, so valet is the only option.

Recently stayed at the hotel down the street and came here every morning for breakfast and a beverage. Tried their latte, matcha latte, and dirty chai and they were all delicious. Tasty breakfast sandwiches and pastries - highly recommend the almond croissant, the matcha slice and the chai slice.
The outdoor seating area is a plus if you have squirmy kids. Highly recommend this local bakery.

Blackmarket Bakery for me is such a hit or miss! I’ve really enjoyed some of the items I’ve gotten here like the Fresh Prince and Farmhouse breakfast sandwiches but just had a very meh subpar breakfast burrito. I asked for the crema on the side and received it with it inside. I didn’t want to complain and chose to eat it. The ingredients were hastily put together with one bite being really hot, the other cold? It was odd and if I didn’t pay $15 for it, I would’ve stopped eating it.
If you’re craving a more traditional French croissant as well this isn’t it. They’re yummy but in a different way and don’t satisfy that craving.
Every time I come here I hope it’ll be better but then it isn’t.

Like this place especially the ambiance. Sandwiches are good but I missed the churro twist/ cinnamon twist so much. We usually buy them for our afternoon coffee. Now we drive farther, to Chaupain French Bakery in Newport Beach just to pick up cinnamon twist. Please bring your cinnamon twist back.

The breakfast sandwich was soo good and reasonably priced for the area.
I had high hopes for this place, especially considering the rave reviews, but I was left feeling let down. I only had the chance to try their pastries, which were disappointingly dry and bland. Maybe their coffee is better, but the pastries didn’t live up to the hype.
It has a nice vibe, and the staff was friendly, but the quality just wasn’t there

The place was dirty. All the tables and floor had crumbs from previous guests. The rafters had years of dust grease. Being a restaurant, they need to do a deep clean every so often. We ordered 3 bakery items and they were dry and hard. The $16 breakfast sandwich (after Avacado and croissant) was bland and salty. The food is Instagram good, but tastes terrible.
Cinnamon roll was better than I expected. Definitely one of the best around. Don't know if I'd call it mega but I digress. It was a tasty cinnamon roll
