Board & Brew - Costa Mesa

This bustling place has been growing. I’d love to see one or two up North in Oregon. Good skate parks and beers. Or maybe I just have enjoy the SOCal that much.

We've eaten many hot pastrami sandwiches in our travels and must say … Board & Brew Left Coast Hot Pastrami with melted Swiss Cheese, grilled Onions, mild Peppers and Dijon Mustard one of the *best* we’ve ever tasted! The pastrami, moist and juicy but not too juicy, was cooked to perfection, all quality ingredients integrated together beautifully on a toasted baguette and the flavor was absolutely mouth watering with every bite … enjoyed on the palate well after (they have other specialty sandwich combinations you can select also). Highly recommend … the price won’t break your piggy bank either … can now see why they are opening more locations. We’ve found a new ‘favorite’.

Update: Have been back several times experiencing consistent excellent quality and superior taste. Big 'shout out' to Jason who provides friendly, thoughtful service with attention to all the details. Thanks again! See you next time.

Update: More accolades: thank you Rocilyn ~ the Left Coast Pastrami was *absolute perfection* again today and the Baha Beef ordered for our friend, packed full of scrumptious goodies, received an enthusiastic double ‘thumbs up’!

Update: With expectations that when we order sandwiches they will be of consistent high quality; like eating them for the first time, every time. Today was no exception; thank you Candice for another delicious experience of enjoying the Left Coast Hot Pastrami (our favorite with double meat and of course the special 'secret sauce'). We believe your Costa Mesa location is one of the best of Board and Brew as it continues to earn your excellent reputation and loyal repeat customers like us. There is no better turkey sandwich around! I used to be a big fan of a sandwich shop on Fairview for many years. I cheated on them and tried Board and Brew and sorry to say I never looked back. Today was a very busy day and the staff was working extra hard. There’s one person I always see there who is always working extra hard. I went up and asked if she was the manager and she said yes, I told her how much I love their sandwiches and how hard she always is working. Thank you Candice, keep up the hard work!! See you soon.

Come here nearly every day on my break from work, by far best location the customer service here is amazing. Not to mention they are super quick to make the food and the quickness does not effect the quality at all. Not to mention they always have good alternative rock music playing.

I ordered the Cobb salad and my husband had a sandwich. I was very impressed with the quality and quantity of toppings on my salad. The chicken was well-seasoned, the veggies were very fresh and generous, and the spicy ranch was wonderful!

This is the best place in town whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or want to catch the game and have a pint. The staff is amazing* and huge shoutout to Cory the usual bartender, and Candice the manager. Friendly people that make a point of remembering your name and story.
Good food, good beer, and great people.
That being said:
*Cassidy, one of the bartenders, is one of the rudest people you’ll ever have the displeasure of meeting. Fortunately for this awesome place she only works one day a week so your odds of her ruining your experience are low. If she is working the bar, do yourself a favor and come back any other day to experience Board&Brew the way it was meant to be!

they messed up my order, was on the phone with the manager and was met with a bad attitude and no apology for the inconvenience. get better management please

It's super annoying to have to get home to a missing item that i paid for after just getting out of the hospital. its also annoying to get a sarcastic response from the owner when I was respectful with your manager she didn't give a crap about my order. keep my money. I wont be back. stay kind!
