Drive by on a Saturday and they were open! Wasn’t busy, so it was perfect for a quick snack before my appointment I had down the street. Walked in, was greeted by the three workers, so sweet. They helped me pick a yummy baked good, I chose the homemade vegan brown sugar pop tart by a small biz in Long Beach. Soooooo delicious. Wasn’t too sweet. I got the cold brew with the sweet corn foam top. The cold brew was smooth and not bitter at all. Seats onsite and easy parking. Industrial lot.

Sipping aromatic coffee under the cool shade of evergreen trees—what else could you want for a peaceful retreat?

Such a great find!
We were just driving through looking for good coffee and found this place. Great lattes (we ordered hot and cold and both were great), great vibe, quick service and very clean. We also tried their conchas - pan dulce (sweet bread) aaaand unfortunately it failed to impress and seemed like it had been there for days 😅 oh well! We didn’t try other food items but hopefully they’re better. If ever in this area again I would definitely stop in for coffee and I definitely recommend it!

Wanted to see the menu and cost of a coffee but apparently I need to download your app to do so. Pass.

Cool hidden coffee house they even roast their own beans I believe. The chai and matcha drinks are also excellent.
-Could use a little more variety of pastries
-Also more comfortable cushions for the seats would be appreciated

What a cute lil shop! The staff is beyond nice and the drinks are top notch. Their Palo Santo infused drink alone is worth the drive from Long Beach.

I always get the iced palo santo - it is really good! I already love burning palo santo inside my home so I love the scent, and now I get to have it in iced coffee form! Service is fast and friendly. I tried the homemade strawberry poptart today, super delicious!

Cute place and friendly service but I got an iced mocha and it tasted like a glass of milk. Very little coffee and mocha flavor.

We stopped by Buenas Coffee and were really happy with our drinks. We ordered a chai and a latte, and both were excellent. The chai, in particular, stood out it was well balanced flavor that most places struggle to get right. You could tell they put care into making their drinks.

Consistently Great Flat Whites in Costa Mesa

If you’re serious about coffee, Buenas in Costa Mesa is a must-visit. Every time I come here, the flat white is consistently phenomenal—smooth, rich, and perfectly textured. It’s clear they care about their craft, from the quality of the beans to the precision in steaming the milk.

A Fun Touch: Latte Art on Hot Chocolate

The kids ordered hot chocolate, and what made it extra special? They actually did latte art on it! It’s such a thoughtful detail and adds a little magic to a simple drink.

Why This Spot Stands Out

Beyond just great coffee, Buenas has a welcoming vibe that makes it a perfect stop, whether you’re grabbing a quick cup or lingering a little longer. If you’re in Costa Mesa and love well-made coffee, this place should be on your list.

I am happy I finally tried Buenas coffee! I had the dirty horchata with 3 espresso shots and it was amazing! I definitely recommend trying this drink.

This place is a charming coffee shop with Latin vibes offering creative drinks and outside seating. The staff is friendly and very fast knocking out each order.

I ordered the Mallows and Molasses, which has a toasted marshmallow, brown butter and molasses. The drink is really smooth and rich. I enjoyed this spot, will come back when I’m in the area again.
