The first FIFTH WAVE coffee shop? đ
Walking into Buenas I was overcome with the distinct sensation that this was going to be a unique experience. A warm jingle to announce my entrance followed by a couple of friendly, smiling faces beaming at me. I floated on clouds all the way to the register and scanned over a menu of genre-twisting takes on drinks both classic and new. The young man at the register was helpful and kind, even offered a suggestion based off what I told him I prefer in a drink. A real James Dean type that had coffee-centric wisdom beyond his years.
Behind the counter was another young fellow who was mixing together drinks in the same manner a chemist would titrate a sample of liquid gold. That is to say he reminded me more of Jesse Pinkman. After taking in the fun and bright decor my name was called and I grabbed my drink.
To say I was pleased by my Chai Latte would be an understatement, I wasâŠtransported. For a moment it was as if I was in Kolkata looking out over the Hooghly River as boats overflowing with brightly colored textiles passed by and then - BLINK.
Iâm back in Costa Mesa, ping pong paddle in hand ready to dethrone the pale dark haired girl whoâs battering down newcomers to the table. I exhale as the warm, beachy sun beats down on my face and think to myself, âthis is the lifeâ. đ

Service was great, loved how they served pan dulce. Servings are small and misleading. Maybe have a sign that discloses this for us girlies who donât know about real coffee servings đ„č one size does not fit all.

Lovely little coffee shop in Costa Mesa. They have a lovely selection of pastries and breakfast burritos. We tried the elote pastry and was delicious. It was sweet but not too sweet which complimented the cortados. Service was quick and prompt. If you enjoy a quiet and colorful coffee shop, I would recommend visiting Buenas

First: Kind people! Always a warm crew working at Buenas.
The drinks are unique and very thoughtfully crafted, both their staple drinks and seasonals. Many homemade elements like their horchata take drinks to the next level!
Nice atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating available.
They also have a nice selection of food and the pastries are always great!
Plenty of parking and easily accessible.

Love this place. Great atmosphere and great specialty coffee selections
Drive by on a Saturday and they were open! Wasnât busy, so it was perfect for a quick snack before my appointment I had down the street. Walked in, was greeted by the three workers, so sweet. They helped me pick a yummy baked good, I chose the homemade vegan brown sugar pop tart by a small biz in Long Beach. Soooooo delicious. Wasnât too sweet. I got the cold brew with the sweet corn foam top. The cold brew was smooth and not bitter at all. Seats onsite and easy parking. Industrial lot.

Such a great find!
We were just driving through looking for good coffee and found this place. Great lattes (we ordered hot and cold and both were great), great vibe, quick service and very clean. We also tried their conchas - pan dulce (sweet bread) aaaand unfortunately it failed to impress and seemed like it had been there for days đ oh well! We didnât try other food items but hopefully theyâre better. If ever in this area again I would definitely stop in for coffee and I definitely recommend it!

Wanted to see the menu and cost of a coffee but apparently I need to download your app to do so. Pass.
Cool hidden coffee house they even roast their own beans I believe. The chai and matcha drinks are also excellent.
-Could use a little more variety of pastries
-Also more comfortable cushions for the seats would be appreciated
