Sushi offering was spectacular. There's an area where you could eat your purchased food so it's a nice place for lunch or dinner. Supermarket wasn't super big but you could get all your essentials. I really liked the Japanese snacks and candies.

One of my favorite places to find Japanese ingredients. They carry great brands and have a wide variety of products. Their prepared food section always carries fresh made items and they have a lot of great options for snack or lunch. They start putting out items around 10:30am. Their produce section is a bit pricey. This place is usually busy and it can be hard to find parking.

The sushi and takeout selection here is much better than the Mitsuwa nearby. But then Mitsuwa has an awesome food court. If you want sushi take out, Tokyo central is the spot. If you want good food court food, go to Mitsuwa.

I've gone to the 3 other Japanese markets in the area and this one has got to be my favorite and most well organized with ALOT of things in there, the place is well put together. They have so many Hawaiian things and of course I always have to grab my Portuguese sausage, Hawaiian suns, and zippys chili. The price of the Hawaiian suns you WILL NOT find anywhere else , it's a steal. The zippys chili is over priced but if you are craving and missing home you'll have to bite it and pay :')The meat quality there is top tier, definitely the best out of all Asian markets in OC. Service is never an issue , the lines are never long and they always have a good amount of employees at the cashier.

Love coming here with my husband and the little ones. We always have a fun time grocery shopping g with all the delicious foods, snacks, self care products and fun plushies and stuffed animals and it's always nice to get some already hot and cold foods to go as well! Some of our favorite already ready foods include onigiris, curry rice plates, sushi and desserts. We also love stocking up on Yakult and big bottled teas!I love coming here for my ceremonial matcha tea powder, ramen and soba noodles, Japanese curry and sometimes I will look for fresh uni I can bring home- so delicious! My husband loves getting eel and we also love to get wagyu once in a while along with a bottle of alcohol we can enjoy. The kids love pretty much alllll the snacks here so our cart always ends up so full!Once in a while, I'll check our the self care and health products and get a box of face or feet masks or some lotions and soaps. I enjoy trying new products every time.I love that they have fun claw machines and offer free ice once you're done shopping. Everyone is always so friendly too. We usually come once a week because we're obsessed with the Japanese style bread and Yakult!

I love shopping at this store. There's a lot of variety of snacks and imported Japanese products. The pricing tends to be cheaper than other Japanese import stores in the area. I really love the selection of sushi and ready to eat foods. The store can be a little disorganized but that's not uncommon for an Asian supermarket. Parking can be really difficult on weekends so be prepared to fight for a spot.

My family and I always go here for Japanese products. I love their matcha products section right in the middle, and I especially love the sushi section! It's always fresh and delicious. The prices overall aren't too bad, and the customer service is fine. It's not as spacious inside regarding aisles and open spaces like American supermarkets, but I don't mind. They even have a section by the windows with tables and a microwave so you can eat there. I've gone at different times of the day, and the parking lot seems to always be crowded.

They have a huge parking lot, but it gets crowded! And I can see why--because this place is Japanese food & etc lollapalooza. There are SO many options for a quick meal including a large assortment of pre-made sushi, rice dishes, veggies and a hot buffet bar (by the pound pricing) with meats, noodles, and street food/appetizers. It can be overwhelming in the best way. Depending on the time of day, it can get crowded so it's an exercise in maneuvering around other (possibly hungry/hangry) people. Get everything you want to purchase (groceries, souvenirs, pre-made foods, drinks etc) all at once and pay at the cashier. There is a dining area that provides you with a microwave, if needed, utensils and napkins. I had the spicy scallop roll and wow, it was delicious. Full disclosure, I'm not a huge sushi connoisseur but I know what tastes good to me, and THAT was delicious! I also loved the takoyaki at the hot buffet bar. And the price was more than right! I was so excited about the price that I almost squealed (maybe I did?) and the cashier giggled. That's a bit embarrassing, but I would've laughed at me too. There are many delicious dessert options too, to satiate that sweet tooth craving. Will I be back? You betcha!

Decent Tokyo Central location with lots of parking in the plaza. I liked the decor and area that they have their cosmetics and cute merchandise items in (plushies, souvenirs, and knick knacks). Extensive refrigerated foods section and I have seen items in their deli/sushi bento area that I have not seen at my local Tokyo Central section. This included some pasta dishes and some of the traditional Japanese sweets (different mochi and daifuku types). There's a dining area in front and I think they have the same ramen restaurant in their mini food court as the West Covina one but unsure if it's still open. Solid place to go get some snacks or Japanese groceries if you're in the area and don't wanna deal with fisted Mitsuwa parking.

I've learned to cook many of my BF's childhood comfort foods from Japan. I usually shop here once a month. Everything is so clean and organized you can get easily overwhelmed. All the employees are helpful. I appreciate and value Tokyo Center with providing Spanish speaking employees who are able to assist my parents or myself, thank you.

Why have I not tried this place before??? Anytime I have a craving for sushi, mochi, tempura, or any Japanese dish, this will be my new go-to. I found this place through a friend and saw that they offered ready to go sushi lunches, bento boxes, and a hot food bar. I had to try. The parking lot on a weekday at lunch was quite busy, but I managed to find a spot. There are tons of items in this store. Lots of beauty products, Asian rice snacks, Hawaiian snacks, and of course the premade food was the prized destination. I was amazed by the selection. There are lots of nigiri options all packaged with salmon, scallop, tuna, and roe, and they have a chirashi bowl with big chunks of salmon and 2 pieces of uni on top, lots of hand rolls, poke bowls, bento boxes with cooked salmon, tempura bowls, and more. I had a hard time deciding what to get because of all the options. They also have a dessert section with lots of mochi, but I think I got there too late since it was practically empty. The hot section is labeled as a buffet, and you get to fill a container with however many items you choose. It is self-serve, and they offer fried cabbage and vegetable patties, beef patties, takoyaki (octopus balls), fried chicken, and shrimp tempura, vegetables and more. It was 9.99/lb I believe. I ended up choosing some of these items and bought a salmon and uni chirashi bowl. This was my first time trying uni! The salmon was cut into thick chunks, which I loved. I wasn't a fan of uni, it is too strong of an ocean-y briny taste and the texture is too mushy. I'm glad I tried it though, and I can't wait to be back.

I love this market! It has sooo much good food from Japan. They have a whole area dedicated to pre made sushi, sashimi, poke, spaghetti & more. The fish are always fresh & it is so reasonably priced. The service was great and the cashier was nice :)

What a cool market, reminds me of Don Quijote in Oahu! And guess what, Tokyo Central was purchased by Don Quijote in 2013! Fresh poke, sashimi, Japanese style self service buffet! Delicious drinks/alcohol from Japan! A must stop before going to the beach!

Love the wide selection of food here! The store is well maintained, clean, and organized. Workers are courteous.Tokyo Central has affordable grab-and-go hot bar food and cold food! Their premade raw seafood dishes are fair quality and good enough for a quick bite or meal. Also, there's no longer any need to hoard Hawaiian snacks back from Hawaii, because Tokyo Central stocks soo many of them. The only downside is the parking lot. It's a busy plaza with tight parking spaces that face multiple directions.

Went for some poke and it was really good! The staff was very friendly and it didn't feel too expensive. Super local spot for this food. The store was super exciting to be in! I will be back to try more.
