They are seriously that fresh. You can literally watch them slicing the fish and making the sushi right in front of you. Everything tasted super fresh and clean. You can tell they really care about the quality. If you like fresh sushi, you won’t be disappointed here.

I visited the Japanese restaurant Sushi Eats, and it was absolutely amazing! The food is incredible — a real explosion of flavors. For the first time in two and a half years in the USA, I tasted food that wasn’t bland, but bright, rich, and truly delicious. Every dish was prepared at the highest level — even better than many Japanese restaurants in Russia.

I loved everything. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to my friends!

This is one of my favorite sushi restaurants in OC. The fish was so fresh and they were delicious. Must order the yellowtail collar and it’s good with sake. I also like the tako wasabi. The servers were nice and we got our food pretty fast. Good place to hang out and drink with ur friends. Make sure to get in early because they are always busy.

Eat's Sushi delivers an exceptional dining experience that combines premium quality with remarkable value. The sashimi is impeccably fresh—standouts include the New Style Albacore and Seared Jumbo Scallop—while specialty rolls like the Baby Lobster Crawfish and Jalapeño Bomb showcase creative execution without excess. The Salmon Skin Salad provided a perfect crisp contrast. Service from Lisa was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm, enhancing the relaxed yet refined atmosphere. Comfortable seating and thoughtful ambiance make this Costa Mesa gem ideal for both casual lunches and celebratory dinners. Highly recommended for anyone seeking authentic, affordable sushi excellence.

A popular Costa Mesa sushi staple (and for good reason), we visited Eat’s on a weekday at around 6pm. We were seated promptly (I recommend eating there before 6, when the dinner rush begins) at a comfortable booth. The decor is cozy, clean, and cute - reminiscent of a sushi bar lifted from Tokyo.

What we ordered:
1. We’ve heard rave reviews about their yellowtail collar, but unfortunately it was sold out by the time we ordered. Next time!
2. Nigiri - toro, uni, unagi, ikura and salmon. All were incredibly fresh and generously portioned for the price. Really, you can’t beat the price to quality ratio - Eat’s reigns supreme.
2. Salmon skin roll and handroll - crispy and flavorful.
3. Baked scallop roll - I don’t normally order rolls, but I have to make an exception when at Eat’s. Usually I feel like sushi rolls incorporate lower quality fish than the nigiri, sashimi, and handrolls - but this is clearly not the case at Eat’s. Anyway, this is my absolute favorite roll at Eat’s, and the scallops are refreshingly not overcooked and fresh, without that cheap fishy aroma. The roll itself is both savory and just a touch sweet - hitting all my favorite flavor profiles.
3. Bikini roll - my second favorite roll at Eat’s. Salmon, tuna, and tempura shrimp are the dominant flavors here. All great quality fish and very reasonably priced.
4. Soft shell crab - just a classic dish, and Eat’s executes this so perfectly. The perfect amount of batter to crab, and the dipping sauce is the perfect compliment.
5. Kaarage chicken - a solid choice for the less adventurous eaters.
6. Philly roll - reportedly the best my dining partner has ever had.

Service was amazing - we were greeted and constantly checked on by the servers. They did an excellent job topping up our waters and bringing out dishes quickly. Eat’s was a fantastic choice for a date night, and easy parking is always a plus. This and Takumi (their sister restaurant) will forever be our go-to sushi picks when in OC.

A 5-minute drive from South Coast Plaza. I came mainly for the daily limited-edition, ultra-high-quality uni on gunkan. The golden uni was exceptionally fresh, sweet, and melted in my mouth with no bitterness or fishiness. For 8.75 per piece I highly recommended. Also worth trying is the daily limited Fatty Tuna sushi. The tuna belly has a very high fat content, making it especially soft, tender, and sweet. I usually prefer salmon, but this tuna was just unbelievably delicious. For the main dish, I ordered the Black Spider Roll topped with eel and longfin tuna puree. The rice is wrapped with crispy soft-shell crab avocado , and refreshing cucumber Drizzled with Spicy Mayo and Eel Sauce, it was incredibly satisfying in one bite! This place has a wide selection of rolls, and most are 7-10 , making it a great value. The Salmon Collar here is also daily limited. It's fragrant, juicy, and has a firm texture. Personally, I think it's more flavorful than the Salmon and Bluefin Tuna Sashimi. The Salmon Sashimi with black truffle oil was a bit heavy on the flavor, while the bluefin tuna was relatively lighter. In short, you must order the uni and Fatty Tuna when you come here ! ! The filling rolls are also a great choice to order a few of, very cost-effective.

I had such a wonderful experience here!!!!! Special thanks to the manager, Francis. Super nice and personally made sure I was taken care of and the staff was great, definitely felt like they cared. The ambiance was so pretty with lovely decor and lighting. Can’t believe I haven’t tried this place cuz I always shop at Stater Bros and go to Tastea the same plaza. They are very affordable and I could tell they use quality sushi and ingredients.

Absolutely love this place! The sushi here is super fresh and reasonably priced — especially the uni, which is creamy and sweet without any bitterness. The fatty tuna and sweet shrimp are also amazing, and the sashimi combo is generous with thick cuts. The staff are friendly, and the cozy Japanese-style interior makes it a great spot for both casual dinners and date nights. Definitely one of the best value sushi spots around Irvine!
