Best oysters and grilled cheese

They are located at Soco in Costa Mesa. Look for Shuck oyster bar & restuarant and you will find them in the mornings (except Mondays & Tuesdays).Parking is plenty and if you go on Saturday morning, you can even find Farmers Market stands at the parking lot.Menu is simple, offering breakfast sandwiches (sausage, salmon, & fried chicken cutlet for proteins) & beverages (organic coffees & freshly squeezed OJs).On my visit, I tried the sausage patty, eggs, & cheese sandwich which came on the soft & sweet brioche buns! They top it off with the chili jam which is a perfect condiment on the sandwich. Chili jam is a sweet & savory sauce with a little punch/heat that brings the whole sandwich together. If you're a spicy hot sauce type, then get their hot sauce to sprinkle on the sammy. They are vinegar based chili hot sauce and it was SPICY (I'm not so good with spicy so on my spicy scale it was scorching hot with lingering heat).Tater tots were fried extra crispy and stayed crispy & crunchy until I finished my sandwich.Cold brew tasted great with a nice smooth/subtle chocolate & nutty flavor. My hubs who is not too keen on eating breakfast sandwiches said that it was the best breakfast sandwich he had ever tried. I also loved the simple & basic but satisfying flavors that this place delivers. It is not easy to make simple things like breakfast sandwiches to stand out but Eggslice definitely put up a great tasting breakfast sandwich that is worth revisiting ~Definitely stop by if you're in the area!

My husband & I have been dining here for several years. The ambiance is AWESOME! The kids that work there are even better!! You will NEVER get any grit in their oysters. As they take such pride in their presentation. The chef is superb! I definite must experience for all!!!

One of my favorite breakfast sandwiches ever. The chicken katsu and their chili jam, spicy sauce, and runny egg on a wonderfully soft brioche bun... can't get enough of it. It's definitely a hefty treat-yo-self kind of sandwich so I wouldn't get it every day. Their orange juice is also fresh squeezed and great. The vietnamese cold brew is also very good. They make it fairly sweet, but they make it in advance somewhat sweetened so they can only really adjust it by keeping some or all of the condensed milk out. When I've asked for less sweet and they've been very kind in offering the condensed milk on the side in-case I wanted to add it back in. They had like a week or two where they stayed open until 1 pm and that was AMAZING since I love having this for lunch... but now they're back to their normal hours of only opening until 11 am. A bit rough for me but I'll have to make do.

Driving through town yesterday and decided to try this place out after our usual stop at Portola Coffee Lab. An absolutely wonderful breakfast! My wife and I had the Bacon, Egg and Cheese Sandwich and the Sausage, Egg and Cheese Sandwich. Every part of them was done excellently from the chili jam to the buns. We felt it was a great value for what it was too. We will definitely be stopping by again!!!

OC version of Eggslut. It was good but they had some kinda fish topping they should WARN customers about. Threw the whole taste of the sandwich off. Hadn't went back since. I suppose I could ask to not have the fish sauce on my sandwich in the future but my first experience was forgettable so no.

This place was quite a delightful find. I thoroughly enjoyed the taste of all the breakfast sandos I've tried thus far (sausage, bacon, chicken). Their 'chili' tomatoey salsa is seemingly sweet, tangy and lightly spicy all at the same time. I recommend adding some of their delicious orange spicy sauce if you're feeling for an endorphin rush. P.s. don't forget to get an order (or two!) of their taters tots for only a buck. Very well made tots with a satisfying exterior crunch/crisp. Also, do yourself a favor and order ahead through yelp if you're getting it to-go. I will certainly be back. I'm curious about their salmon Sando, however, I can't help but order my tasty usuals whenever I visit.

Best breakfast joint ever! Thought it will be typical breakfast place as usual but nooooooooo! this is definitely #1 best sausage egg and cheese sandwich i tried. The chillijam makes it very unique and add hundreds of flavors to the sandwich. Chicken sammy was alright, the chicken itself was little too blend for me but still tasty. The hot sauce was pretty spicy but loved it as well. First time getting sammies from the same place for two day straight. MUST TRY! U WONT REGRET PROMISE!!!

Just a great fresh breakfast sandwich. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but it is worth it as everything is made to order. Highly recommend it.

Good morning and happy Friday, @eggslice in Costa Mesa having the egg, cheese, bacon sandwich with tots. Love the crunchy bacon and tots, not big fan of the sauce but still delicious. Please remember to support local businesses.

Eggslice is definitely one of my favorite breakfast spots! My boyfriend & I probably drop by this spot at least once a month for their delicious sandwiches. I generally order their sausage, egg & cheese sandwich, which comes on their brioche bun and signature chili jam. The egg is always cooked over easy to allow some yolk to seep into every bite. Now- I'm a fan of spicy, so I always ask for their hot sauce, which is also homemade. Gives the sandwich a nice kick to start your day. My boyfriend's go-to sandwich is their chicken katsu, egg & cheese. The katsu is nicely tender and easy to bite into. Sometimes, he'll even add a sausage patty on days where he's extra hungry or their extra crispy tater tots (which I always steal a couple because they're yummy). The staff's always incredibly nice as well. We always appreciate friendly peeps!

First time at Eggslice and tried their katsu egg and cheese sandwich. The katsu is perfectly fried and the sandwich doesn't have that grease feel to it at all!! I would normally feel sick after eating something like this but this one sat in my stomach really well! Their housemade chili sauce also added a good kick to the sandwich ~ cold brew coffee here is very smooth too ! 10/10 would come back ~

Phenomenal breakfast sandwiches! Larger than average portions. Good value for your buck. Bravo Eggslice!

Do NOT order delivery. Waited over an hour and no food. No word on where the driver is. Had to cancel. Money will not be returned for over a week. Absolutely awful delivery service! Wish I could comment in the food, but I never received it.

Excellent breakfast sandwich. The secret is in the chili jam they put on every sandwich. The sausage is high quality. The bun is nice and delicate and airy.
