Marvin, Jaun, and Chris really make each evening great with food and service. We have been going there for over 20 years.

El Matador hits the 3 pillars of quality / price / service.

It’s a proper sit down Southern California Mexican spot that satisfies that urge for a restaurant to grab a margarita and fajita combo with friends and family.

Excellent ppl serving tasty food.

Food was overall good, big portions compared to other restaurants in the area, but they need to work on the beef fajitas not being so chewy!!!

Food is solid. To its credit, also was on way out.

I loved everything about our Taco Tuesday at El Matador. The prices were reasonable and the flavor was HUGE. Some of Tuesday best tacos I ever had! The House Margaritas were awesome as well! Also, the atmosphere was well done and beautiful.

I only took a star off due to their tiny parking lot. I'm glad we drove the Kia Forte and not our SUV, or else we would have had to park down the street somewhere.

I was a bit confused about this place - it’s in the middle of some of the best eating that Orange County offers and the quality of their Mexican food is truly subpar. Their rice and beans are bland and uneventful , their fajitas are out of proportion with veggies and protein, and the worst fault is their chips and salsa. The salsa itself is fine but the chips are no good. They lack flavor, texture was off and was such a let down.

The service was great though, the gal that served us was super friendly and attentive - she upgraded our margaritas (not her fault, but also not very good margaritas) and was sweet the entire time. The inside feels really dark and old with low ceilings and a subpar parking situation. For the location, the price was fine but the let down was real.

Came here for lunch and was not very satisfied. Sub par Mexican food. The enchiladas were meh. Salsa and guacamole were okay. I would try a different Mexican restaurant in the area next time.

Hands down, THE best shredded chicken taco I’ve ever had, paired with their house salsa , keeps me coming back every Tuesday for the deal.
