Filomena's Italian Kitchen & Market

Hit a little bump when I tried to confirm my reservation with Alex. The number of my guests went down by 2 and I wanted to let the restaurant know as a courtesy. I made the reservation on Open Table because friends recommended Filomena's as an amazing Italian restaurant. Alex did not see my reservation, I told him I made the reservation and I was reading from Open Table app, my exact reservation & #, which he told me "that means nothing to me". I was a bit taken a back, asked him if I could still come to the restaurant? He said, let me refresh the screen and then he found my reservation. Did we really have to go through all of that? When our party of 4 entered the restaurant/grocery store we were intrigued by the dessert cases, the fresh pasta, sauces etc. before getting seated. We were happy to find out that the grocery & bakery stayed open til closing of the restaurant. Hector greeted us in a happy manner and provided us with excellent service. He seemed to be the only waiter for the tables and Alex was cleaning tables for incoming reservations. My friends and I were admiring dishes coming out and desserts too. The bruschetta, cheesy garlic bread, meatballs with penne and spaghetti, pappardelle bolognese, chocolate chip cannoli, ricotta cheese cake were all so delicious! Hector was laughing and joking with us, he was very nice. We will be back! Thank you Hector and Alex for helping up celebrate Mel's birthday! It is all in the sauce and that Sunday sauce is amazing!!!

Despite living in Orange, this is our favorite Italian Restaurant. Hector and Manny always take such good care of us and Hector did so again tonight. First time trying the Bolognese and it was delicious! Great food, wonderful service, reasonably priced. We love Filomena's!

There is absolutely no ambiance in this restaurant. The decor in underwhelmimg The Chicken Piccata came highly recommended and was fair at best. The chicken breast seemed poached with no browning or breading to add extra flavor or texture. The plate looked an unappetizing and very bland. There is no basket of bread, no substitutions allowed. In the end the final tab was a hair under $100. for 2 entrees and 1 glass of wine. We won't be back.

The food was amazing and the service matched how great the food was! The market is small but has all of their homemade pastas and pizzas available. If you're looking for authentic Italian food this is one of the best spots in Orange County!

A favorite family dinner gathering spot. Our party of six enjoyed five different entrees - Shrimp Scampi over homemade fettuccine (2), Veal Marsala, Chicken Piccata, Pappardella Bolognese and Spaghetti & Meatballs. All excellent. Our favorite serve is Hector who always treats us well.

The food was amazing, the service was excellent, our waitress was very good. We definitely will be back.

I can't believe I've been driving past this place for years. It popped up as a recommendation with great reviews that I saw online so we went in and we're sure glad we did. This will definitely be on our regular rotation. We have the prosciutto and arugula, pizza and a veal Parm with fettuccine pasta. The portions were great, and the food was very tasty.

Very tasty and well prepared pasta dishes - The noise level gets a bit high, the wines are over-priced and so is the food.

This a place to go if you like east coast food. Yes, they make their own pasta however I would say the menu and product is east coast Sunday dinner.

Tried calling to increase number from 2 to 4. Voicemail not set up. Once open I called and talked with someone about going from 2 to 4. Couldn't find my reservation. Said she'd leave a note. Arrived to find no note left and our original reservation was in system...for 2. Thank goodness not busy. And that $50 per person cancellation fee??? Wow I know 3 couples who've quit going at all. What about illness?

Filomena's is a gem of a local restaurant! Not only is the food excellent, they have a store section where you can take home fresh pasta and ooooohhhhh - their cookie dough!!

We had a wonderful meal last night before seeing Hamilton. The food was great, and the portions were satisfactory. Service was above board in all respects.

Great find! I ordered wrong so don't suggest the crispy prosciutto pasta, but I tried everyone else's dish and all were fantastic.
