Chicken parmigiana was a little tough but the sauce was good the spaghetti was good maybe a little more pasta for the huge size of the chicken portion. The cheese was good. Staff was amazing and super friendly and even offered to change the plate.

The cook definitely had covid, no other reason for food this bland. And the pasta portion was all of 3 bites! Lol no wonder they stopped winning awards in 2016. Oh and I saw the trashy responses from the owner from other negative reviews, so you know they're classy 😉

The food at that restaurant is a
rubbish, I have eaten better in the
social services canteens
let them dedicate themselves to something else.

I stop here quite often on my way home and pick up the Italian Special. The regular size is enough for two lunches. The meat is high quality and always fresh. I love the Italian wedding cookies, they melt in your mouth. Wonderful selection of fresh pastas and ready to make meals.
I decided to try their sit down service and was really happy I did. Butternut squash soup was perfect. Seared scallop (antipasti menu) was spot on. So much flavor.
The table next to me ordered the charcuterie board and told me it was really good. Definitely getting that next time!
The staff is always friendly and helpful. I love the small town vibe.

The absolute Best bolognese sauce in Orange County, and probably LA and San Diego too. Great service, huge desserts and an amazing bowtie pasta in a chicken broth with sausage. You have to come and try! They also have a deli attached too so you can bring home some the deliciousness!

This place is recommended by someone that I know. Glad I went here. It's not a very big place and it's rather inconspicuous but the food in the service were great and the atmosphere was nice for dinner time conversation. The mushroom pasta was great, especially with a side of sausage in it and of course the tiramisu is not to be missed

I had seafood pasta and bolognese. All were delicious. The shrimp and shellfish in the seafood pasta were perfectly cooked, and the tomato sauce was delicious. The bolognese was delicious with a slowly simmered sauce, but it had a bit of a salty taste, but it was about the same as other restaurants. Also, the homemade pasta itself is delicious! I bought frozen homemade pasta from the attached grocery store and enjoyed it at home.

Excellent service and delicious food! We have never been disappointed by any of the dishes. The tiramisu is out of this world! And with the amazing deli/ bakery next door, we had some yummy Italian treats to enjoy later. All around one of our favorite places to visit in Costa Mesa area!

The food we ate was delicious. This restaurant appears to be a neighborhood gem. But our first time visit was a little rough, 5:15 seating on a Friday evening and they were out of the first couple of items we ordered. if you want the Osso Buco, order it immediately I'm sure it would've been amazing.

If you enjoy authentic Italian food, this is the place.

I stopped by Filomena's for lunch. Manny, our server, was excellent. You could tell Manny enjoyed his job. I had the Specialty Calzone, a delicious big dough pouch. The others I was with commented on how delicious the Sunday gravy and Meatballs tasted.

The restaurant section was welcoming and had a great ambiance. It was the type of place where you could sit back, eat all day, and enjoy yourself.

Parking: During lunchtime, we had no issues with parking.

Had a great meal at the restaurant here, they have a good assortment of homemade pasta and dishes that taste so good, their assortment of wines is big and the server there was helpful pairing wine with our foods. The market next door has many Italian food items like fresh pasta, meats, cheeses and wine. The place is great and I would come again just for their delicious pasta and Sunday sauce.

It was our first time visiting Filomena's and although the restaurant gets strong reviews, my meal was a miss rather than a hit. This pasta dish was literally swimming in broth. I sampled other meals from various dishes guests were having, but I still couldn't help feeling a bit disappointed. We were on a time schedule, otherwise I would have asked the waiter to re-fire the dish. The service was super friendly and attentive and so I'll give a 3 out of 4 stars.

Parking: Parking is limited, especially when it's busy.
