I applaud Linda for standing up for herself in the recent post. The review that was based solely on an almost 5 year Restaurant Impossible episode should not be a basis to rate an establishment!!! I'm sure my review will be removed. Hopefully Google will also remove that review as well!! Best of luck Linda and enjoy your time with family, you deserve it!!!

I visited Filomena's a few weeks prior to this recent visit. I was impressed the first time, so I decided to return with new guests. The food was fresh, good portion and tasted amazing.

It had been several years since we had visited Filomena's, but were very pleased with the enlarged space, that our favorite server, Hector, was still there, and that our food was excellent, as expected.

This is one of our favorite places to dine. It's small, friendly and the food is amazing. They offer a number of options that include pasta, salads, dinner entrees and great appetizers. There is also a lot of good options for wine to complement the food.

I’ve been eyeing this place for years and I’ve finally had a chance to give it a try.Market:They have noodles, cookie dough, to-go items you can eat in the car. Yummy cookies, my favorite are the wedding cookies! They also have pasta salad and gelato as well as wine to pair with pastas.Restaurant:We had -Calamari: super fresh tasted so goodBruschetta: maybe one of the best ones I’ve had. Not to hard to bite through toasted to perfectionFettuccine Alfredo: with an addition of Chicken for the protein - this was the best fettuccine I’ve ever had.The service was great, very attentive. The place is such a cute little gem so close to my house. Please go and check it out. Definitely going to be making sure to visit once a month.

I wouldn't eat here purely because of owner Linda's tantrum on Restaurant Impossible. She is a prime example of someone who has to run her own business because nobody would want to hire her. I hope she changed the way she acts in the work place because she did not represent herself well. She may reply to this review by saying that the show made her look bad, but she would be wrong. She made herself look bad.

What a hidden jewel in Costa Mesa. I was looking for an Italian delicatessen and found Filomena's they have sandwiches and a full restaurant with a bar with beer and wine. The people are friendly and the service is excellent. They have an extensive menu in the restaurant which includes pizza as well as a deli. I've lived in the area a year and a half and this is the best restaurant I found

I highly recommend Ruben as your server. He’s very patience, kind and does an amazing job! They have the best chicken piccata pasta incase you don’t know what to order. The restaurant is also very clean and cozy.

Delicious food in a cozy atmosphere with attentive service. The Cioppino was full of seafood including crab legs and so savory- we had it with angel hair pasta. Grilled artichokes and fried breaded calamari were excellent as appetizers. They have a great wine list with affordable to extravagant, something for everyone. Filomena's has the best Italian food in OC, in my opinion.

This is one of those places I would never have found on my own, but we were lucky enough to happen across Filomena’s driving through the area. Even though the restaurant is in a common strip mall off the side of hwy 55…. If I didn’t know better, I would have thought the menu and food here came from one of those silly fancy places simple people like me avoid. The service was great and overall we had a good time.

This was an overall 5⭐️ experience. Hector, our server, was a pleasure! He was knowledgeable, made great recommendations, and was a pleasure at every encounter. The food was sensational and we cannot wait to go back!

What can i say this a lil gem in costa mesa on newport blvd. The manager was so helpful , we came from winterfest oc. We got seated for a party of 7. The bread was amazing. The food out of this world i got the mom lasagna let me say waiting 20mins for it . Was worth every bite. Also the champagne chicken is great...This place has a little shop with goodies .The dessert was phenomanal we got the tiramisu and cannoli. That was gone in 5mins.Only one dissapointment was able to serve us as much as we wanted. A fellow server male with a beard and older gentleman was seeving us. The server with the beard was able to substitute a meal for a2yr old. Props to him.Definately coming back...

Food for four of us was all outstanding, as usual. The server was personable and seemed devoted to making sure we had a great experience, with our glasses and cups continually filled. He offered dessert, which was also excellent. All in all, we had great food and outstanding service, and, of course, will visit again.
