Absolute gem of a place. Everything here is delicious. I got the Italian press sandwich and a salted chocolate chip cookie for lunch, and it was worth every cent. Even the pickles were homemade and yummy.

This little eat-in take-out casual restaurant is very good. It has a great, seasonal, changing menu. I have only tried the sandwiches, soup and vegetable sides but they are very good and reasonably priced. The pastrami is the best I've ever tasted ( and I'm from NY)! The Cubano is also a hit! If you eat in, the very sweet young lady at the register serves you on sturdy plates, and will have the kitchen heat up sides from the takeout offerings (soup and veggies). I'm not a dessert person BUT the cookies are wonderful and not too sweet. We will eat here quite often!

Got take out. The Italian press and the house turkey Dutch sandwiches. The Mrs. Loved the Italian press. I liked the house turkey however it had no cheese on it. I just don't understand how you offer a turkey sandwich without cheese. Her sandwich had a lot of flavor but mine was a bit lack luster. I'd go back again but I think they need to be a bit more creative with the flavor profiles on the sandwiches. As I can get a similar turkey sandwich for $10 down the street with cheese included.

We had a lovely dinner from Fork and Knife last night. As it was takeout, we didn't quite know what to expect but we were deliciously surprised. The fried chicken wasn't greasy but tender with a spicy kick to it. The biscuits to die for. We loved the salad which was a mixture of greens, a hint of mint, peaches, granola clusters, little bit of cheese and white balsamic dressing. They told us it was enough food for 2-4 servings, but we agreed more like 6. Thank you so much for the favorable surprise. I can't wait to try something else. .

I absolutely love this restaurant! You can either dine-in and order from chef's incredible lunch menu or try the grab-and-go selection that ranges from soups, salads, fresh pasta and ready-to-heat entrees. Either way, you won't be disappointed! What I ordered: * Dine-in: Short Rib Grilled Cheese and Smoked Salmon & Romaine salad * To-Go: The Soba Life Salad and Gemelli + Mozzarella Salad The Short Rib Grilled Cheese is definitely a MUST-TRY! This crispy grilled cheese is served with a roasted red pepper soup, and I have to say they're a great match! I had the pleasure of meeting Chef and Andrea and I really enjoyed our talk, they are wonderful people. This is a family business so let's show our support for them!

This place has the best sandwiches and salads in OC. The flavors are amazing and it's always well prepared. My wife and I come here twice a week we love it so much. Honestly I would eat here every day.

Just had the best Short Rib grilled cheese sandwich EVER! The red pepper soup with goat cheese was amazing! All the food here is fantastic. The Cubano is unbelievable! If your in Costa Mesa, you need to stop by and try it!

Why a restaurant in the middle of a pandemic decided not to use any delivery service is beyond me. Moving on.

Yet another fine choice for a meal on 17th Street. Every food element is prepared in-house. The muffuletta sandwiches were a BIG hit. Their bread is crunchy crust with soft inside. Excellent cold cuts with tasty peppers on the side. The Ruben is better than the one from 17th Street Deli, which is excellent! Be prepared for a messy and flavorful sandwich. We were treated to service usually reserved for good friends. They plan to add wine and beer in the coming weeks. Not only will we be back, we're adding Fork & Knife to our dine out rotation. Cheers!

Jon did a wonderful job curating my customized ice cream flavors (guava, passion fruit and lime)! The taste was absolutely phenomenal. Thank you for a job well done

We'd been hearing some buzz about the sandwiches at Fork and Knife, and we wanted to try it out. Wow! It was delicious! We had a muffaletta and a smoked short rib grilled cheese sandwich. Both were full of flavor, and presented beautifully. You certainly don't walk away from this place hungry. I look forward to exploring more of the menu options soon.

Oh wow!!! Absolute new favorite lunch spot!! Their Short Rib Grilled Cheese is nothing short of amazing!! I also had the Peach & Blueberry Salad... OH MY! I've never eaten a salad so slow, trying to savor the taste as long as I could lol. I hate that I'm moving away just after discovering this GEM!! So many other awesome things to try too.
