This little Japanese bakery has lots of unique savory and sweet pastries and bread. We tried the Aji Tama Egg donuts, Wagyu Curry Bread Bread, Corn Mayo, Strawberry cheesecake Danish, Chocolate strawberry croissant,etc. We love it all. The staff are friendly and polite. But this bakery is a small counter in a corner inside Mitsuwa, so when there are a handful of customers around, you have to be patient and wait. I submitted a last minute inquiry on the Hamada-Ya website to order a whole strawberry shortcake, and Scott kindly gave me a call the very next morning. The ordering and pick-up process was very smooth and Scott was extremely helpful and responsive. Unfortunately the bakery wasn't able to add any personalized message but it looked beautiful with some candles! The cake was moist and the strawberries were very fresh. Hope to visit again!
