Yea don’t bother, the food is good but not if you’re rushed to finish it. Literally came and asked if we wanted boxes for our food WHILE WE WERE STILL DINING. And the THEY DROPPED OFF BOXES AT OUR TABLE ANYWAYS when we didn’t even ask for them.

Hanuman Thai Eatery in Newport Beach is a standout among local Thai restaurants, offering a delightful dining experience with less wait time compared to its other branch. Popular with locals, this spot impresses with its food quality and attention to detail, while its modern decor seamlessly incorporates Thai cultural elements.
The restaurant’s theme, inspired by the Monkey King from Hindu mythology, might seem unrelated to Thai cuisine, but it symbolizes the strength evident in their flavorful dishes and beautiful presentation.
We ordered a variety of favorites, starting with the fried chicken wings paired with sticky rice and green papaya salad. The chicken wings were perfectly crispy and juicy, and the green papaya salad had a tasty balance of freshness with a mild spicy kick. The green curry, served with grilled chicken breast, was creamy and flavorful, though the chicken was slightly overcooked; the rich curry sauce with rice more than made up for this minor issue. The Pad Thai with prawn was also enjoyable, though I would have preferred a touch more sweetness and tanginess to enhance the dish.
Overall, the food was excellent, and we will definitely return when we’re in the area. The service was outstanding, rounding out a highly satisfying dining experience.

Ordered the green curry - sauce was good, meat was good, but when I ask for double vegetables it means I want more than a quarter cup of veggies 😢. Even worse, one of the “veggies” I got was the top stem of a jalapeño. I don’t mind the heat - but that isn’t even edible.
What a gem! Enjoyed the smoky, perfectly charred drunken noodle which wasn't as spicy as advertised but delicious all the same, and the Khao Soi, a rich and flavorful curry noodle soup that is an absolute delight of flavors and textures. Their spicy scale goes up to a ten, and spicy lovers would be safe to max out the scale while likely still opting for their fresh and varied spice rack to kick it up even more. We eyed each of our neighbors' dishes as they came out and everything looked delicious! I'll definitely be back to try more!

Wow! My friend and I shared the green papaya salad and the ceviche as we were looking for something refreshingly cold. They were both exceptionally delicious! The milk tea was also tasty and helped offset the spiciness of the salad. They have a sign that they are not vegan or vegetarian friendly due to sauces containing fish.

This place was absolutely phenomenal and was such a fresh way of enjoying Thai food! DeeDee was our server and she did an outstanding job of helping us navigate the menu so we could make the most out of our culinary experience! She recommended starting with the ceviche to open up our palette and then following it with the fried chicken to enjoy the salty and juicy flavors of the signature dish. I am so glad we listened to her! Both dishes were outrageously good and set us up to enjoy the main courses - drunken noodle with prawns and panang curry with skirt steak. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection and the proteins paired perfectly with the noodles and curry. We ended the night with the mango sticky rice dessert and it was the most fabulous version of this dessert I've had! This whole experience was heavenly, from the food to the service to the outdoor ambiance! 10/10!

Excellent Thai food! Service was extremely good. Be prepared to spend a little more money there compared to other Thai places in the area but this is the best tasting Thai food IMO.
