Went on St. Paddy's.... was not impressed... waited AT THE BAR for 20 plus minutes until a waiter finally came over and took my order. Didn't see and security except the 5 foot nothing 95 pounds girl at the door....RANDOMLY checking IDs.....checked mine and my brother's but not the 3 little "kids" behind us....I asked why only to be told " only if they look under 21"....me with silver hair at the ripe age of 40... I mean honestly I'm being generous with the 2 stars because I could continue on about how dirty the place was, how small and cramped it was, how they over serve customers making the atmosphere unpleasant. How there are a bunch of old perv guys trying to pick up younger women, or how regulars continue you touch you AFTER being told not to....but I will stick with what I wrote.

I had fun because I was in good company but otherwise it was meh. I was choking down the cold, hard calamari until someone else tried it and commented how bad it was so our server kindly took it back in exchange for nachos. Our burgers arrived, then the nachos. My burger was good, the service seemed a little forced, if not exactly natural.. I'll try it again if I'm in the area but only after I've tried a few other spots first.

We were greeted almost the moment we stepped through the front door. After sliding into a booth, our server, Sara, graciously took drink orders. After reviewing their ample menu, we settled on grilled cheese with soup and one of their specialties, fish and chips. The kettle chips that come with the sandwich were amazing! Good tomato soup and hearty cheese portion on the sandwich. Crispy batter on the fish which included fresh coleslaw. Their Happy Hour is from 4-7pm M-F. The menu features a bunch of options that look like good value. We will definitely be back!Cheers!

Watched Penn state vs Mississippi peach bowl game with Penn State crowd. Great breakfast burrito. Also the Dublin Benedict was superb. Our service with a large crowd present was excellent. Jessica C. did great over the 3 hours we were there. Really good experience today.

You just cannot beat their Buy One Get One free Tuesday burger deal. It's got to be the best deal in Newport!

When it comes to finding THE ultimate spot for watching football - this is it. We try make it a weekly ritual (seriously!) to visit because they pour the best Guinness in Costa Mesa by far. Also, they have incredible happy hour deals on weeknights and during SNF! My go-tos are the hard lemonade (legendary) and the the (huge) basket of chicken strips. The staff is super welcoming and friendly too. Trust me, stop in here, you won't regret it!

I went here with Debra R and Jose R for lunch a day ago. I got the Irish burger low carb style. Debra R got the smash burger and Jose R got the chicken sandwich. The food was really good.

This really has a friendly corner bar vibe. The bartenders and waiters are fun and friendly. My wife and I like to stop in for lunch and their weekly burger special is an unbelievable value. The live music is fun as the open mic variety is fantastic to an occasional that guy is as bad as I am. Weird access and parking when busy but you can easily park around the corner. I recommend it.

Stopped in for a ice tea to go on a hot day while taking my baby on a day trip to a boutique next door. I was hesitant to continue with my order as the bartender was coughing up a lung into her hands. I should have left. I continued against my guts telling me to run, and i took her ice tea and drank it. We both woke up sick. Should have left.If your going to come to work sick, put on a mask. If your in the food handling business, learn how to properly cough (not in your hands that are serving people food).

The dining room here is smaller than the first Hennessey’s I discovered and reviewed. On Sunday 8/13/23 I came by myself to see if the service here is better than the one in SJC. One-man band Michael Kelly was here. In between his sets a jukebox was playing familiar hits from the 1970s to the present.I love the California Citrus Salad here? My root beer float was a lot better at this location than the first one I discovered. So all-in-all I’d choose this location over the first one I discovered. I don’t need a train to get here since it’s close enough I can get here on my electric bike.On 9/9/23 I returned with five of my Deaf friends and the service we received was excellent?? One waiter demonstrated knowledge of the manual alphabet. Another waitress refilled our water cups without us asking. If we return as a group, we will choose this location from now on. If I want my salad on a day that my Deaf friends aren't with me, I'll order takeout so that my order is ready when I arrive. It does take me about half an hour each way on my electric bike from south Santa Ana to the part of Costa Mesa where this restaurant is.
