I haven't written a bad review of this place yet? It's long overdue. I really wish I could take my kids out for some pancakes here once in a while but it's just not worth the overtly terrible service. They are CLEARLY EXTREMELY BIASED against anyone who isn't a Mexican family. They will not even approach your table unless you flag them down and it will be like that start to finish. I have had them disappear so I can't order, can't pay, etc. If you bring it to their attention that you haven't gotten service, now you're the problem. Besides this, the restaurant is FREEZING and they will probably get your order wrong. If you aren't Mexican, it's not for you. Try Broken Yolk. (By the way, my husband and children are Mexican, but he never goes with us, always me and the kids, I'm white.)

Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant was extremely disappointing.

I arrived around 11 AM and there was no host at the front desk, so I had to wait for a while. When a staff member finally showed up — the one who usually handles payments — he walked me to a table but refused to take my order, saying it wasn’t his responsibility. I had to wait even longer for a server to show up.

When the waitress finally came, I told her I was on a short lunch break and asked if the food could be prepared quickly. She kindly agreed and said it was possible. However, after 20 minutes of waiting, my order still wasn’t ready.

Since I was running out of time, I went to the service counter to check on it. They told me the food was ready and would be brought out any minute. But it didn’t come. I returned to the counter again and asked them to pack the food to go instead.

At that point, the staff started showing their frustration, saying I was being impatient and that since the food was already plated for dine-in, they now had to waste time repackaging it. So apparently, they value their time, but not the customer’s.

When I pointed out that their behavior was unacceptable, the same employee who had refused to take my order earlier got involved again and became rude, raising his voice and speaking in a very disrespectful and unprofessional way. Other guests witnessed this, but the staff clearly didn’t care. Even after I mentioned I would leave a review, they continued arguing instead of simply packing my order and moving on to other customers.

I find this level of service completely unacceptable. I used to have breakfast at this restaurant chain regularly because the food is genuinely good, but I will definitely not return to this particular location.

To be fair, they didn’t charge me for the meal — which I appreciate as a small gesture after everything — but I still left hungry, my lunch break wasted on waiting, arguing, and ending up in a terrible mood.
Also, I’m giving this place a one-star rating because I never actually got to enjoy the food — and by the time I finally had a chance to try it, it was cold and not tasty at all.

I’m also attaching a photo of how the food was packed. As you can see, the presentation was very poor and unappetizing.

Requested sticky table be wiped 3 times. Got up from table & walked to cashier to make 3rd request. Order incorrect & when requested blueberry syrup, instead of usual pour spout container, received tiny plastic cup which was insufficient for pancake stack. Coffee was provided however, no creamer as I had requested. For only 2nd time in life, I did not reward server with gratuity which goes completely against my generous nature! Very disappointed & appalled.

We were running late, coming from Sacramento for a morning event and my son needed some protein before his tournament, we called in to place a quick order, the host picks the call and hangs up without taking the order. When asked for quick service for the order (mind it, only 1 order) there is no heed, though we saw a couple guests only at 7am. And ultimately, how hard is it to make a veg omelette with no mushrooms? Undercooked and filled with mushrooms 🤦🏻‍♀️

Basically ihop should honor the house favorite deals everyday not just Mon-Fri. I arrived at 615am and they didnt open till 640 cuz someone was late. People where waiting outside to get in, then I waited an extra 5-10 mins to place my order while the lady was making coffee for the other people and then she tells me the house favorites are only good Mon-Fri so it's double in the weekends so I left and went across the street to Dennys which offers specials every day of the week Mon- Sunday. You guys are loosing business and that's not a smart business decision. Guess I'll give my money to Dennys instead. Oh well your loss

Seating was pretty quick. From that point every steps had severe delays. It took almost 15 minutes to see a waiter in front of our table. After placing the order, another 30 minutes to serve the food. Not great on hygiene as well. Table was not clean and up to the mark.. Overall food was good and we enjoyed..

I haven't been to IHOP in years. Yesterday I decided to try their 2x2x2 breakfast special. The worst pancakes ever. What I remember from years back was hot and fluffy. These were warm dough balls. I had to choke them down. Then I had ordered over medium eggs and received scrambled. I asked the waitress to replace them with the ones I ordered. She came back five minutes later with two cold over medium eggs. I predict IHOP will be another restaurant chain that will be gone soon.

Last time I dined, I told the manager how sticky, dirty, and gross the syrup bottles and holders were. In other words, do your job and instruct cleanliness in the condiments. Again, I had to clean the disgusting syrup bottle. The holders sticky, and the bottle is sticky with saturated glob of disgust. I will never ever dine there again. Again, the food was disgusting and a waste of money.

While I was waiting for my take out order, I noticed several people come in after me. The manager came back to them repeatedly to check the status of their order and never once asked me. After another 10 minutes 2 of the 3 left with the order.

The manager made sure they had been attended and acknowledged. He completely overlooked my presence. I said nothing. When I finally got my order, lo and behold it was wrong, so I asked for manager.

He was suddenly unavailable but passed right by me as he seated others at a table. I politely asked for my money back and just left. We can’t keep supporting racist bigotry biases or prejudice of any kind.

This has to stop. Just because your are not white, doesn’t mean you get treated like trash.
