It was a great time for me and my hubby. Great date night. Karen the owner, was very hospitable and so talented. She teaches and gave me techniques to ‘correct’ my paintings. I’m a sweet wine drinker so the moscato was so yummy! We will be back for sure to do another!

Wow! What an experience! Came here with a friend and left with many new friends. The experience was so personable, creative, and interactive. Tried many different wines and learned their history behind each one. Karen was so informative and so knowledgeable. Also provided several recommendations of wine to combine with a specific types of food. Over all, I would definitely come back. I would love to try the painting with wine class.

Truly a wonderful evening with an awesome instructor who made us all feel so comfortable. Even though we aren’t talented artists, we were so please with guided instructions we all walked away with beautiful paintings!

I was very pleasantly surprised by the intimate atmosphere of the blind wine tasting experience. I’ve been to regular wine tastings before but a blind tasting takes it to another level. Karen was so informative and explained the differences between the different types of wine and what region they’re from. You can tell she’s passionate about wine and what she does. This encouraged us to have open discussions and is a great way to meet other wine enthusiasts. I will definitely do this again and bring along other winos.

Was amazing! I am a novice wine person and have always enjoyed a good wine throughout my days.Karen was so fantastic in explaining various old world and new world wines. I learned quite a lot during a fun filled event with some very nice people. Really enjoyed the healthy food compliments along with the delicious wines.I would highly recommend attending this event either solo or with friends! Thanks Karen for your hospitality, knowledge sharing, and fun filled personality! I now know what I’m ordering and looking for in my life long journey on understanding and enjoying wines.

Fun event in a great space - it's inside Inspired Art Wine. I have been there before for wine and painting. I signed up for one of the fundamentals classes with my boyfriend and wasn't sure what to expect. Would be it be more serious, or fun? Is it for people that already know something about wine or geared toward total novices? I will say, I was pleasantly surprised that it seemed to be a good mix of everything. Karen, who led our class (although it turned out to be more of an intimate "event" than a class) gave us some wine basics, fun facts, and personal commentary about the wines we were drinking. There were light snacks and she suggested some unique pairings that were really good. The event size was small and we were all seated at a beautifully set table together (see pic).As someone that already knows a bit about wine, I learned some new tips, like how to find the sweet spot bottle of wine on the wine list at a restaurant, and got to compare different aspects of what we were tasting with the group. One of the most fun things was when this small group of strangers started chatting and having a great time together over good wine. (We learned we had a famous author in our midst!) This was not a super serious class for someone looking act like a shmancy sommelier, but rather something approachable with info you can use in real life, with plenty of time to socialize.Bottom line: If you are looking to do something different on date night or for an outing with friends, and enjoy learning about the wine you like drinking with good company, you should check it out!Pro tip: Take better notes on your wine than I did because they sell the bottles there too.

I have been to a good amount of wine tastings over the years but none have been as intimate, fun or interactive as the one taught by Karen at Inspired Somm. The ambiance was really nice (dim lights, beautiful paintings around) and overall had a very welcoming and comfortable feeling while still feeling upscale. By design, there were only 7 people in attendance at the tasting to promote a more intimate experience; which really added to the overall experience. I learned a lot about not only the actual wine we were tasting, but also about food pairings and good general wine tips. I really loved how the tasting/class was very interactive and conversational (yet structured) versus being talked at (or not talked to at all), as I have at other tastings.Overall, the tasting was a very thought out and well planned experience that I really enjoyed and really recommend! I went with some friends (and made new ones!), but would definitely come again as an outing for a date or would make a perfect girls night out!The wines presented were really good and varied a lot. I even found 2 new wines that I love! I am looking forward to taking one of the advanced speciality courses to learn more and have another fun night!
