Smoothies are basic. Not as much flavor as other places. Too much ice IMO. I do like that they have hemp protein as an option compared to most places that only have pea protein as a vegan option. Staff members are very kind and always available to answer questions. Lots of parking. Down side is there's not really any good space for dining in and the few tables that are inside always seem to be dirty, as well as the booth benches. There's an outdoor area, but its not very cozy. I suggest to just grab and go.

The salad is a delightful blend of fresh ingredients and vibrant flavors. From the crisp lettuce to the creamy avocado and tangy feta cheese, each component adds to the salad's deliciousness. The homemade dressing perfectly complements the dish without overpowering its natural taste. Overall, it's a nourishing and satisfying option that leaves you feeling energized and satisfied. I highly recommend trying it for a wholesome and delicious meal experience.

Amazing tasty HEALTHY food! You will feel good eating here but there is no flavor lacking. My go-to work lunch is the Surf Shop Special and a tropical iced tea. I get it with a Chicken Salad Sandwich sub wrap, salad with herb vinaigrette and it comes with chips.

This place is a winner. I've seen it for years, but never went in. I've recently been several times. It is clean, cute and fresh. What do I mean by fresh? Take the avocado sandwich or guacamole. The avocado looks just cut, with no nasty brown areas. Their side fruit salad looks and tastes fresh cut and homemade. It's delish. I love their almond butter/banana smoothie. Jan's has a freezer right next to the smoothie guy, so the smoothie stays icy cold even if you are a little late to pick up. Jan's is really a winner. Give it a try. They really go above and beyond to assure good quality.

I assure you that what I ordered was not what I got. And what I got was nothing close to what you are describing as your avocado toast on your refresh menu.Thank you for taking the time to read/address your Yelp reviews.

Food is good but trying to order off the website with an account is awful. Seems like you have to do everything twice

I've been coming here for years. Recently they shrunk the salad so it's half the size. They changed to a bowl and increased the price! I was hoping it was a mistake but after 3 salads that's less than fulfilling, I'm done. Can you please go back to the original size??why increase the price for less??

I absolutely love Jans and have been going to the HB location my whole life. Recently I moved to Costa Mesa, and the food here tastes nothing like the HB one. I'm not sure what the difference in ingredients is, but it is not the same. The Broccoli Cheddar soup (my favorite) has a bleach after taste? The Tuna sandwich is flavorless and the chicken soup also. Such a bummer.

I just finished my meal and green drink and it was glorious. I've had hundreds of green drinks and Jan's was the best, hands down. Everyone was nice and the sandwich was straight up delish. Would recommend. It's pricy but hey, you get what you pay for

THEY GOT RID OF THE TSUNAMI SALAD!!!! Such a sad day I just found out. I love Jan's and their salads but there's Tsunami salad was my favorite thing and my number one craving since I've been pregnant. So sad to see it go hopefully it comes back Sunday.

The $8 bagel had a thin paper layer of cream cheese (when cream cheese is what makes a bagel worth eating). I get inflation, but when you charge inflation prices you better bring it. We can’t write off a bad experience here and there anymore since these bad experiences cost us greatly now. So a note to whomever reads this. I understand the economics of inflation, but remember this old phrase; “you get what you pay for”, that timing statement goes both ways, when we overpay we should “get what we paid for”.

YUM. I used to work nearby and my co-worker recommended this spot, so I finally tried it out. I hate salads normally, but I got their Jan's classic salad with herb vinaigrette dressing and chicken. OHHHHHH WOW. Mind blown. So good. Actually craving it now..... don't really understand the tortilla chips as a side option with sandwiches and stuff, but other than that, everything is fresh and delicious.
