Finally a great Korean option inside So Coast Plaza. I've eaten at the counter for lunch all dishes are very good. I always pick up their jajangmein to go always tasty, good amount of meat.

They get a couple stars for the food bc I like it but the customer service needs some help. The carbonara tteokbokki has bacon in it and my friend can't eat pork. It was quite pricey at $9.99 so she politely asked if it could be remade. A person came out of the back to ask my friend if she "actually had a restriction" or if just didn't like it. It felt kind of disappointing that they would accuse my friend of this and then make her feel bad about it, and border on lecturing her that she should read signs. It was a simple mistake but they gave her kind of a hard time about it and asked her if she had touched it before taking it into the back and then remaking it, which is a bit suspicious. There is a sign that states that you should notify the staff if you have dietary restrictions but why not just put a sign that says it contains pork as well. The display food in the cabinet doesn't make it obvious that there is pork in it. Apparently they also receive complaints about other food having pork in them. I understand times are hard and having to remake a dish is costly, but treating customers in this way may be more costly as I am now unsure if I will return or tell my friends about this place due to this experience. I hope that this will improve as I really did enjoy the tteokbokki.

The food here is actually really good! I’ve been twice already and was pleasantly surprised the first time. Taste exactly how I would expect Korean bbq to taste :) I love the marinated beef and will try the ramen next. I just wish it was possible to get extra kimchi since I love it so

Authentic Korean street food experience. Tteokbokki is exceptionally good. I also ordered the soduk soduk (rice cake and sausage skewer) and kimari (deep fried seaweed/glass noodle rolls) and both are also exceptional. They even give you odeng broth like in Korea. I am Korean and I've had a lot of mediocre Korean street food in the US. This place is top notch, comparable to the street food in Korea. Really well done.

Excellent Korean street food, really solid tteokbokki, kimchi fried rice, and bonchon. If you're not sure, try the popcorn chicken tteokbokki as a gateway dish!

Really wanted to try out this place today. The food looks good but the customer service is disgusting. I approach the counter with reasonable questions about the menu since it's my first time. This man (asian, kinda short, hating life) was super rude and condescending. What a little bundle of joy ;) live laugh love my friend, maybe that way you won't scare off any more customers :)

This is one of the only cheap options in the rich person mall that is south coast plaza, but it's still more expensive than it needs to be. What you're paying for are the cute little sides they give, but I think many Korean restaurants can give you the same general meal for 2/3 the price (this place averages around $20 for a filling meal) That being said, the food is still plenty good and tasty. The sides are nice and the mini soup is a great addition. The servers are nice, but the food is kind of slow to come out even when I'm the only one waiting for my food. I guess it's cooked to order which you can consider a pro or a con. The atmosphere is good, what you'd expect of a rich people mall.

This was one of the cheapest option in the collage culinary experience which is attached to the south coast mall in Costa Mesa which the entrance is by Bloomingdale's. The staff took about 15 mins for them to make the food. Theres counter seating. I got the 24. Popcorn, chicken tteokbokki. It was $9.99. It wasn't spicy at all. The miso soup tasted more salty and soy sauce.

Excellent food, price, and service. Only gave 4 out of 5 on atmosphere bc it's got limited seating, but it's a great spot for lunch or a snack. Highly recommend.Vegetarian options: Counter may be a little bit high, but attainable.

I really wanted to support this place because I go to Buena Park location and I have eaten here a couple of times and I love having something different to eat in the mall that has a good price and quality food. But omg the service it TERRIBLE. I recommend this place to one of my employees who liked the food I brought one day from this place and got the same thing I did, I told her to get a regular item I always get but when she came back from her lunch at 12:00pm, she told me how one of the guy employees was taking her order and told her the name of the dish and that word I told her was wrong and that my Korean was "old" and seemed very annoyed when receiving her order. How rude. Just because other people have different ways of saying a dish doesn't mean you can give rude customer service.

The popcorn chicken was not good - it seemed every piece of chicken (inside the breading) was old, hard, and dry - like chicken jerky. I returned the first order because I just couldn’t enjoy it. The replacement was hot and looked beautiful too, but it must have been from the same old batch! I wasn’t asked if it was better, and I didn’t want to be a pain. It should have been juicy and tender. All the other dishes seemed fine bc no one else complained.

I liked this place and I was so glad they had Jajangmyeon because I haven't had for so long! I like how you get a small side too for instance I got a little of fishcake, kimchi and and cream of corn with soup!! I'm so glad they have it here. If only they had one in Orange.
