Highly recommend the fried maitake and the marinated black cod! The shrimp balls had the shrimp minced a bit too finely for my taste, but the service was excellent, and the yuzu sorbet for dessert was nice. I’ll definitely be back 😋

Had a great dinner ! Ginger eggplant, tempura maitake mushrooms, cucumber avocado roll, Cali roll, and dragon roll were all delicious ! Not to mention the lovely home made desserts (pictured) basque cheesecake, blueberry panna cotta, green tea panna cotta, and yuzu sorbet.

Our group of 3 arrived around 9 PM, ahead of their 10 PM closing time; I attempted to call ahead, but they did not answer (at approx 8:45 PM). Please note their voicemail box is full and you cannot leave a message as of August 2025. I was concerned that we'd arrive after the kitchen's last call, which ended up being 9:45 PM! Quite late, which I appreciated.

We ordered the simmered eel & egg, grilled mackerel, and fried/agedashi mochi soup. The entrees themselves were approx $14 each, +$2.50 to add miso soup, or +$4.50 to upgrade to a dinner set, which includes miso soup, rice, seaweed, and pickled cucumber. All three of us immediately updated to dinner sets, and I believe my iced tea was $2.75.

The restaurant is reasonably large, with plenty of seating. Although the dishes look small, the dinner sets are reasonably sized and filling. The final bill was approximately $26 per person after tax and tip. The staff was very friendly and attentive (the owner himself served us!) and the sushi staff has apparently been working at the restaurant for 30 years! We passed on dessert but the options looked great - blueberry panna cotta, matcha ice cream, and basque cheesecake. I'll have to come back and try them :)

This restaurant is part of a plaza with its own parking lot, and there were plenty of parking spots when we arrived on a Monday night.

Absolutely phenomenal experience at this Japanese restaurant! We walked in at prime dinner time, when the place was bustling, yet we were still seated promptly and received outstanding service throughout the entire meal. Special thanks to our server, Zuke, who was warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed despite how busy it was.

Every dish we ordered was a hit. The spicy tuna roll was incredibly fresh, with just the right amount of heat and flavor. The rib eye steak was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection—melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The chicken thigh was bursting with savory flavor, perfectly grilled with a crispy finish. And the salmon skin hand roll was fantastic —crispy, smoky, and packed with umami.

One thing we highly recommend is trying the fresh wasabi—it adds a clean, vibrant kick that complements every dish beautifully, enhancing the flavors without overpowering them.

Even during peak hours, Zuke made sure we were never overlooked—checking in with us regularly and ensuring our experience was seamless from start to finish. You can tell this restaurant values both quality and hospitality. We’ll absolutely be returning. Highly recommended!

This is a very nice, lowkey Japanese restaurant that’s also highly affordable! They had some very fresh and delicious nigiri, the toro was especially great. The desserts were also excellent, particularly the matcha panna cotta. I think this is perfect for those who prefer desserts that aren’t too sweet. The owner, Zuke, was very kind and attentive. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!

I’ve been frequenting this establishment for years. Whenever I’m in the area, it’s one of the spots I have to eat at before I leave. Amazing food and amazing service, from the appetizers to the dessert. This is an establishment we’re lucky to have in the area!

This place is a hidden gem! I called in because it was late and I didn’t want to come in right before closing. However, when I asked them if it was okay to come in, they said of course. Once we came in, they already had a table set up for us which was very nice!

First, the atmosphere was nice and quaint. They have bar seating and normal seating for whichever you are feeling.

Second, the food was great! We went for the sushi, but they have a lot of other traditional Japanese dishes as well. We had the Negi Toro Roll, Salmon Roll, and Spicy Tuna Roll. All were delicious and you could tell the fish was of high quality! I also ordered a Salmon Skin Hand Roll which I highly recommend. I’ve eaten Salmon Skin hand rolls since I was a kid and this one is up there with some of the best I’ve had! We’ve been to Japan and the sushi we had here brought us back to the sushi we had out there! We also had some dessert and the Matcha panna cotta was really good and light.

Last, but certainly not least, the service was amazing! Actually, impeccable! They are very nice people that truly care about your time there. Food came out quick and they checked in on us to make sure we didn’t need anything else. There were lots of smiles and laughs which wasn’t just with our table, but with everybody that was in the restaurant!

I would definitely recommend coming here and trying their food! You’ll have a good time with some really hospitable owners!
