Holy cow...La Panzano drops the ball AGAIN! 3 hours before the event, they said something went wrong with their kitchen, which another 1-star review mentioned! We even ASKED about that specific review when we first met Joseph Crapanzano (the owner). He convinced us it was a one-time thing and that it wouldn't be an issue, AND IT WAS. I don't think this guy is a con artist, but he does not know how to deal with obstacles and obstacles are part of doing business. He will not come through for you if something goes wrong or frustrates him. They delivered nothing. We were at square one 2hrs before the event. It was unbelievable! He even said he could bring some stuff, but that turned out to be a lie - he completely ghosted. Do not rely on this company.

Last year for Thanksgiving, we ordered turkey, ham and stuffing from La Panzano. It was amazing and delicious. Everyone loved it, so this year, we decided to go with them again. From the beginning the customer service was lacking. It took awhile for them to answer the phone when we tried calling, but we still decided to book and order the same thing as last year since we were getting close to our event. We placed an order well in advance for turkey, ham and stuffing. Our office assistant emailed and confirmed that everything was good to go for our event and Joseph confirmed. Today comes by and it's 11:15am. We have 75 ppl waiting for the Thanksgiving catering, but no one arrives. We frantically start calling the number listed on yelp as well as in the signature of the emails, and no one answers. By now, it's 12:15pm and still no one answers so we came to the conclusion that no one was showing up from your company. At 12:45p, we received an email, not a call, that there was a mistake and the order was suppose to be ready for the following day. We are so disappointed in the way La Panzano handled this. There should've been a call to our office assistant immediately upon finding out the mistake instead of sending an email. We did request for a full refund and received it back, however, I do feel there should've been more done to remedy this as we planned our event way in advance to accommodate everyone's schedule and our main course was missing. I have mixed feelings about ordering from La Panzano again.

My boyfriend and I went for a date night to their new storefront location in San Pedro and we had a lovely evening! Chef shared with us they get the majority (maybe all?) of their inventory from local growers/farms, and I don't know what Chef did to the zucchini on my appetizer plate- but that zucchini was exceptional yet SO simple. I got the shrimp scampi and the shrimp was very fresh and tasty, and BIG! The table bread was delicious and the herb butter I could have eaten by the spoonful . I think his part of San Pedro is being built up a bit and I'm really excited to see what's on the horizon for La Panzano...

They were late arriving and setting up. When they showed up, they didn't have all of the food we ordered. Now we have several unauthorized charges on our credit card from them. DO NOT PROVIDE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION TO THIS BUSINESS!

I hired La Panzano for my Christmas dinner. It was FABULOUS! Every year my family and I spend hours in the kitchen preparing and cooking and are too tired when the food is ready to really enjoy the day. This was the first year we tried a caterer and I couldn't be more pleased. Joseph was courteous, professional, and responsive from beginning to end: putting together the menu, giving me references, statusing on invoice timing and delivery, and ideas and doing the set up himself. He worked within my budget and the food had very generous portions, was tasty, and there were so many options to choose from. It was one of the best Christmases my family has had as we got to really enjoy each other's company and create wonderful memories. I'm immensely grateful for the partnership as my search for a caterer was close to the actual day and Joseph came through and exceeded my expectations. I would use them again in a heartbeat!

My experience with La Panzano started with a Groupon. I got the groupon knowing that I would be hosting parties for my sister and mothers bdays. I called Joseph and he was very accommodating. We worked together to deliver the food to me in a way to where I could keep the party a surprise. The food was really solid. The cheese ravioli and the meat lasagne were especially on point. I was very pleased. I will be using their services again.

Joseph was absolutely amazing to work with. I was hosting an informal event for about 30-40 people and Jospeh was more than willing to work with our budget and modify the offered menus to what would suit our needs and guests. The food was delicious, delivery was prompt, and the service above everything else was hands down 110% amazing. If you're looking to hire a catering service for ANY event, as formal or informal as it gets, look no further a Joseph and La Panzano Gourmet Catering is where it's at!!!
