Northgate Market, Costa Mesa is a great place for Mexican food shopping as well as authentic Mexican restaurants. It has many public indoor and outdoor tables with heat lamps and lights where you can sit and dine with family and friends after buying your dinner plates at one of the restaurants. Highly recommended if Mexican food is one of your favorites.

Had the caldo de rez, it was really good. Good size serving too. Also tried the green chilaquiles, good size serving but lacking green salsa

As I write this, I'm speechless on how horrible this dish looks. As you can see in the pictures, they don't even resemble each other; it looks like prison food! Not

Came here and ordered the Chilaquiles with red sauce. The picture on the display looked great. Waited close to 20 minutes to get my order, which ended up being the wrong order. Returned it and waited another 10 minutes to get the right order. Order arrived looking still a far cry from what to expect. The chilaquiles were drenched in watery beans and a bunch of rice (which it didn’t even mention being part of it) and just overall looked not that appetizing. Taste was ok but nothing great and the chilaquiles were soggy.

I got here at 6:30 AM the beef bowl ready hot tasty just enough spices to stop your day and make it far more beautiful than you expected. Anna was so nice to me and let me get samples of the different types of food they have and shows the beef absolutely the best

Prior to ordering, I made sure to ask whether or not my pozole would include a good amount of meat... thankfully, the young girl who helped me was kind and willing to put together my plate, ensuring that plenty of meat was included. But based on all these poor reviews, it seems that normal practice is to skimp, which was my initial thought. Also, the flauta combination plate we ordered included plenty of chicken. We were happy overall when it was all said and done.

I had the same problem with the cold enchiladas too. Very disappointing to pay for cold food. Super bummed since it was dinner time.

The pozole was a huge disappointment, 3 big knuckles, but only 2 small bites of edible.meat. Just corn and broth. They don't have a good pickup system here, it's clumsy and slow. Wanted to love them.

Why would you have a beautiful picture of what they call Caldo De Res soup and the description shows, beef, potatoes, carrots, celery, and onions but serve a soup with cabbage and corn chunk in it? I ended up returning it because it wasn't on the menu and I don't like it. Worse yet they don't even seem to care they are advertising something they don't make. Looked so promising. I won't be back. The other annoyance for me is they do not provide a cup of ice with a soda purchase not that they seem unique as I couldn't find any food stall that did.

Arrived with high expectations due to the novelty of the new market in Costa Mesa. The line to order moved really slow; once my order was placed it took only a few minutes to be ready - however, the cashier did not hand the food over for a while and by the time we got the enchiladas, they were cold. They looked great and the taste was on point, but unfortunately, they were cold. They have other food options and probably will go back, but the sopes of food delivery needs to improve.
