Great people, nice atmosphere with lots of space, and wonderfully delicious chocolate milk. Also my wife says they have great coffee (cookie butter latte needs to be a constant menu item).

Ordered matcha latte and the quality of the matcha used is very poor. Very flat flavor profile, bitter with a slight grassy, vegetal note.

Used to be my favorite place until they started filling the cups half way if you get light ice. Now just another coffee shop that’s pinching pennies at the expense of losing customers.

L&L was just ok for me. Feels like a copy/paste type of coffee shop, where they took ideas from competitors and tried to implement the concept as their own. I won't name who I feel they are trying to emulate, but IYKYK. It just fell flat, felt stale. There's no soul if you will. The actual coffee shop itself is a giant warehouse, that's catering to people who are students & want to sit in uncomfortable chairs and study. The immediate area when you walk in and wait in line to order is OK with the long wooden table that's common space... but the other spots were very sparse and just uncomfortable. Since the ceilings are really high, it didn't seem like they had any type of noise insulation either. Feels like they slapped the place together with the bare minimum amount of money, to them charge really high prices for trending drinks. I ordered the avocado toast, it was so mediocre, bland, and the avocado itself had a bit of a taste to it that made it almost sour, & I did not enjoy it at all. My friend ordered the burrito, the tater tots were pretty much still frozen, and the burrito itself was cold. So the food in general was just not good. I ordered an almond milk latte, and it was fine, you can't really mess that up. I noticed trash cans overflowing, dirty counters & the space just didn't feel clean to me. People working there we're just keeping to themselves and doing their job. I'm sure other people enjoy going there, but I personally will not be returning. There's several other places I'd rather spend my money and have a really lovely experience. I spent $40 bucks for coffee and food that was completely mediocre.

If you want to take a risk of waiting 20+ minutes for coffee even when slow then roll the dice. Also with the waiting for 20+ minutes got to observe and it appears most of the coffee served was pre-made and they just pour PREMADE ingredients over ice and then serve it.

They make delicious cortado and a proper flat white. Highly recommend the avocado toast, the bread was toasted and also soft. The jamy egg was delightful. It was so amazing I forgot to take pictures. Highly recommend for a proper coffee

I’m SO frustrated by the fact that they don’t have ANY prices for ANYTHING ANYWHERE that I have to knock off a star. It is a cute place and the matcha was good so that’s redeeming.

But prices aren’t on the QR menu, not on the physical menu (bc they don’t have any), not even on the wall lol. Almost made me walk out honestly bc how am I supposed to wait in a 20 minute line and not even know if I’m guna spend $2 or $10?? What if I want to make sure I have enough for a tip? Maybe not a dealbreaker for some people but I don’t appreciate the lack of transparency especially these days. Matcha was good tho. And it was $7.25 for the fall matcha drink with nondairy milk. Won’t be back.

Edit to add - thanks for the reply. I’m not sure I can reply directly to your feedback but I actually did bring it up at the time and wasn’t aware it was a soft open. Still I’m not really complaining about the price itself and understand the physical menu element but I still think it feels very much like the widely disliked and manipulative surge pricing kind of thing when neither your qr menu or wall menu have prices either. Everyone understands higher costs right now it’s like that for all of us so that’s not even what I’m complaining about. It was the lack of transparency. I left it in the review because if it was my business I’d want to know it was coming across that way and as a consumer I would have liked to know this in choosing a new place to check out. Again the service and product are great that’s the core :) good luck

I got the iced lavender latte and a hot dirty chai here with oat milk and both of them are incredible! The lavender latte is the best I’ve had in California and the dirty chai is just the right amount of sweetness without it being suffocating and the coffee flavor came through just the right amount (I did two shots of espresso)

It's a little weird that this coffee shop is in a church, but the coffee is really good. They also have a ton of space to sit and work.
