We had a 7:45 reservation and were sat quickly. It was busy for a bit, but it took over an hour to be served our food. Waiter/waitress staff seemed a little confused as to what table to serve. At that point there were only two tables in this section of the restaurant. All ended up ok. Fried ice cream is always a pleaser.

The dinner was delicious & the margaritas were large and they didn’t skimp on the tequila. I had the chicken shredded drunken burrito. It was delicious and not overly spicy. Portion was large enough that I only ate half & had leftovers for dinner the next evening. It was my grandson’s 11th birthday we were celebrating. After eating they brought him a large piece of ice cream cake. It was coffee flavored ice cream and he didn’t care for the coffee flavor. Maybe rethink giving coffee flavored ice cream to children.

The tortilla soup was good, service was slow but kind. Then I ordered the Carnitas brisket to take home. What a disappointment !! 🥺when I open the box at home, Carnitas were literally burned, dry, totally overcooked, I couldn't eat it, and not enough rice, not worth the price and the wait. I don't think I will go back or do take off in the future. I wish I can post my pic.

After driving around we found this great Mexican restaurant in Newport Beach. We had the 3 item combos. It was delicious. The portions were huge. Big bowl of chips and lots of salsa. Our waitress was very nice. Prices are reasonable. The cozy interior had Christmas decorations up. My relatives visiting from Vancouver were stuffed. This is a hidden gem!

The restaurant had a great ambiance but our waiter could've been better. He either didn't want to be at work or just didn't care about the service provided. I asked for a to go box for my other tacos bc I ordered three and they were humongous. It took him forever to bring that box out to me after passing the table numerous times, entertaining the tables he chose to interact with. You have to do better Cesar. Your service is lacking sensitivity and personality. All your customers deserve your undivided attention. The hamburger ground meat for the tacos had ABSOLUTELY NO TASTE. Seemed like cooked meat that was browned with no seasoning. Just plain. Not what I was expecting. Expected better.
