I ordered the 12 oz prime rib (original) dinner. The meal was great. The prime rib was tender. I enjoyed the nice au jus with the creamed horseradish with the meat. The glass of Zinfandel fit perfectly as my accompaniment with dinner. The hostess was very amicable and attentive. The restaurant was a bit noisy, but tolerable when you concentrate on a great meal.

Each visit is a great dining experience. The service is outstanding, and they have more than just BBQ, Happy Hour is fun, and the people are wonderful. The salads are great. I also love how that give back to the local community. They are an old school family run business.
Dietary restrictions: They're a great place for a variety of gluten-free options. You get service with no cross-contamination (They get it), and my family is thankful they are in Costa Mesa.

The food was yummy and the server was really nice! The portions are literally huge. I split a combo and a brussels sprouts appetizer with my friend and it was more than enough. Chill vibes and i liked they donate 20% of the bill. I would come back !

This place was actually sweet to us on the phone and their website didn’t have misleading information

The meat here is what makes this place. The service is OK, but not horrible. The sides are ok. If you want quantity over quality, this place will work. Don't expect fine dining or service. Great atmosphere but another turn off was having to seat myself and smelling their plumbing problem the second you walk through the door.

I'm in the medical field and like things clean and sanitary, it's important. When you walk in the door you can smell the odor of the bathrooms which was approximately 10 feet away with both doors closed. Smelled very unsanitary. Not the best first impression. I was with the people who absolutely rave about Newport rib company so I tried to ignore the gross bathroom smell upon entering the restaurant. Overall, the ribs were tasty but the sides were below average. Mac n cheese like 7th grade cafeteria style, corn bread dry. Overall i would say get the ribs to go and make your own sides at home. This was the first time I have gone to Newport Rib Company. I dont think i would return. Above average server.
