Nook Coffee Bar is an absolute local gem (tucked in Costa Mesa)! The coffee is excellent — rich, smooth, and perfectly crafted every time. They have such a great array of choices, from classic favorites to creative seasonal drinks. I also love that they’re vegan-friendly with plenty of plant-based options for drinks. The cozy vibe and friendly staff make it even better. 100% recommend this spot for anyone who loves quality coffee and a welcoming atmosphere!

Coffee is really good. I’m glad they offer macadamia milk. The iced drinks are great. Location and vibe is nice. It’s a small place but you can grab coffee and have it outside.

Not a bad place but as a black coffee guy, I'd say you pay too much for what you get which is decent drip or cold brew. There's barely any seating and it's busy and loud. Not a place to work or hang within the space itself. You can sit outside in the Lab space to read and drink which isn't bad not now what I look for in a coffee shop. So, just decent and overpriced for that.

My go to matcha spot. They also sell their matcha in house as well. Great coffee shop in the heart of the camp, fun outing!

Nook Coffee hit exactly what I was craving. The flat white was silky with dense microfoam and a clean, balanced shot. The cappuccino was lighter and airier, and you could clearly feel the difference in texture between the two. That precision matters.

I added a single origin cold brew and it was spot on for a light roast, bright and clean with a smooth finish that never turned bitter. My daughters ordered sweetened matcha and loved it.

Small, friendly space, quick service, and a team that cares. Big shoutout to Cheyne for being so kind and dialed in at the bar. I’ll be back.

I've been to plenty of their locations & this location by far has the worst customer service & I expressed it to the barista. As soon as you walk in the person taking the order just stands there and looks at you without saying one word. I order a Spanish latte & he charged me a strawberry matcha. Once I express to the barista that is not what I ordered you can see it on her face she got mad. It is not my fault you don't enjoy your job & your coworker can't hear ! Shitty people ! Never again !! Luckily I wasn’t going to let their attitude ruin my day so I refused to wait for a manager ! Remember we are paying $8 for a cup of coffee & I refuse to get a shitty drink I did not order. Lastly, If you don’t have people skills find a new job !I’m

Without a doubt, Nook serves the most consistent and best-tasting coffee, matcha, and pastries in Costa Mesa. The staff is always warm and welcoming, the espresso shots are reliably tasty (I love that crema), and the overall vibe is consistently positive. To my knowledge, it’s also the only place in town where you can pick up traditional Danish pastries.

While other coffee shops can feel hit-or-miss depending on the barista, Nook delivers every time. Even during busy hours, the lines move fast thanks to a team that’s efficient, friendly, and totally dialed in.
