Place is very small and nothing is out where you can see it. The menu is off to the side so when you are ordering it's a bit awkward to keep looking away. Wish they had a checklist that you could hand to the cashier to make it easier on them and you. Besides that the food is great & portions are pretty good.

Really good portions, will go again?

Definitely a great place for poke for sure! A tasty and healthy option for the lunch time rush. I had the large bowl which gives you 3 scoops of your choice of protein. I had 2 scoops of salmon and 1 tuna (they also do spicy versions of the the salmon and tuna) they do have quite a few options for you to choose from so I'm pretty sure your tastebuds will be satisfied.

I am born and raised in Hawaii so I have very high expectations of poke, but frankly, California style poke will never be at the same level of Hawaii poke but it also makes sense because mainlanders also have a difference taste. Need to adjust expectations. This is one of the closest California poke shops to being authentic poke. I have tried Uroko (crap), Calipoke (okay), Poke Dot (okay), H20 (no) and so North Shore is always my go to for poke in Orange County. First, I do want to say that I appreciate the cultural references to the authenticity of Hawaiian poke across the decor. There are signs explaining how to correctly pronounce poke, the bowls are named after famous local places in Hawaii and the spam musubis are one of the closest in Orange County to authentic to Hawaii musubis as well. As someone who is from Hawaii, this brings me joy. Many other poke places outside of Hawaii will try to steal the poke trend for themselves which is disgraceful so thank you for remembering your roots. They also have furikake as a topping but it is not on the menu if I recall correctly. The mango topping makes the poke watery esp for delivery since the rice and the poke is separate for delivery so I recommend against getting it for delivery orders. For dine in, mango is okay since the juice will just go into the rice and you wont notice it The quality of the fish is above avg compared to other California places but could be improved, especially the quality of the tuna. Common instance of the stretch white part in the tuna that should be cut out. Service is good, no problems. One worker specifically always remembers when my boyfriend comes for pickup. One time he forgot/lost his stamp; card but the worker remembered us so he gave us an extra stamp anyways What I do wish is that my doordash/uber eats orders be prepared accurately. I think I've ordered 15+ times delivery and maybe 30% had something missing, a musubi missing, a drink missing or the wrong sauce. I have contacted the restaurant each time there is an issue just to let them know but maybe this is a training issue on mgmt side.

This new menu is a downgrade from the previous. Not sure why they had to change the menu. Volcano Bowl was the best. Our entire office will need to find a new place.

This poke place was across the social science conference I went to which was why I ended up here. I loved how they had options for the base to choose from. They also have spam musubi which is my favorite. I really wanted to try the poke nachos but that will be for another day! You could also make your own poke bowl if you'd like.

This is my first time having poke (yeah I know I'm late to the game.) My coworker recommended this place, so I thought I should give it a try. For a first timer, food is pretty good. I had a nice meal with salmon, ahi tuna, and lots of toppings. Everything was well combined in spicy sesame sauce (yum!)

Food is ok, service is ok, but it is grossly overpriced compared to most other poke places. They charge you for toppings like avocado or seaweed salad when usually it's free everywhere else. $10 for a bowl that is mediocre (and limited toppings to boot)? I'd rather go across the street to Uroko for their poke bowls.

I love north shore poke! It's actually one of my favorite spots in SoCal, which sucks only because I live in the inland empire lol. Their fish is always fresh and their flavors are phenomenal. The only thing I will say was the the server was not fully trained. My friend ordered the spam musubi yet he didn't know how to make it. He also was the only person in the restaurant so that seemed very unprofessional.

I'm so annoyed because I absolutely love North Shore. Today I came in, ordered a bowl and paid an extra $1.25 for avocado , and the guy comes out with my bowl. He says "Sorry we're out of avocado. I put extra masago." Masago is literally a free topping. How does this equate to avocado? And further, he didn't even bother to ask me about putting extra masago beforehand? There was nobody else in the store, so I don't know why he couldn't quickly stop to ask. If I wanted extra masago, I would've asked for it.

By far the best poke I've ever had. They keep it simple yet delicious with rich seasonings

We walked in around 2 and they had no white rice and it would take an hour. We then ordered with brown rice and 2 spam musubi. I looked in the warmer and only saw 1 available. I asked if they even had 2 to give us, the cashier said that they were out, but continued to charge us. I asked for a refund for one of the musubi, and he asked if I wanted edamame instead. I declined the offer, so he gave me $2.50 back in cash. I looked at the menu, and the price was $2.75. I asked why we only get $2.50 back, so he gave us another quarter. Fish was OK, but seems overpriced for limited toppings.
