Excellent value for the quality of food and service. Definitely make reservations or wait could be long for dinner. Lunch is easier to get in without reservations.
Table was too small for the 5 of us. We had to keep shuffling our plates around in order to fit everything and make room. They should have given us a bigger table. Food was delicious!
I enjoyed everything about my dining experience. It was the best Chinese food I have eaten in so long, delicious!!! And the presentation was beautiful. I've told all of my friends, and I can't wait to dine again soon.
Paradise Dynasty – Truly a Dumpling Lover's Paradise! We absolutely love Paradise Dynasty in Costa Mesa and have been there at least once a month for past few months — it's hands down our family's favorite spot for dumplings! The variety here is incredible, especially for anyone who loves flavor and options. From the moment you sit down, you're welcomed with a menu full of creative dumpling choices that go way beyond the usual. As vegetarians, we're used to seeing just one veggie dumpling option on most menus — but not here! Paradise Dynasty is truly a paradise for vegetarians. There are tons of delicious veggie options, and each one tastes unique and flavorful. It's so refreshing to actually have variety! The noodles are just as impressive — each noodle dish has its own distinct flavor and personality. From spicy to savory to rich and comforting, you can really taste the difference in every bite. Nothing feels repetitive or bland. Our kids adore this place — it's their go-to dumpling restaurant. They always look forward to ending the meal with the warm, gooey chocolate lava buns (a must-try!). And for the grown-ups, the mango pudding is the perfect way to wrap up the meal — light, smooth, and just the right amount of sweetness. If you're a dumpling fan — especially a vegetarian one — this place is a dream. We'll definitely keep coming back again and again! Also the service is great and servers actually pay attention and come check on you. Definitely recommend!
I love this place and the food is great. They have a much bigger selection which includes vegetable dishes noodles and rice dishes compared to Din Tai Fung. Highly recommend Paradise dynasty. The only thing is Google Maps does not take you to the location and I am not sure how to fix it. They are located on the side door facing the 405 of Bloomingdale's.
My BFF from college and I met to celebrate my Birthday. Every time, I am in the area I try to get into Paradise Dynasty. I encounter wait times of 3 plus hours. Yesterday, we lucked out with a wait of one and a half hours. In fact, we got seated a half an hour early. We ordered 10 of the garlic pork soup dumplings, the crispy vegetable rolls, the tofu and sautéed spinach. We were sad that they ran out of the pea shoots. Our meal tasted divine, especially the tofu. I dream of their tofu. We found the service to be outstanding. My only gripe with Paradise Dynasty is that it is so difficult to get into the restaurant. I hope Paradise Dynasty can fix this challenge.
I love this place! So delicious with many food options. Service and food is always top notch. Easy to get in and parking is plentiful.
The food and service is always great. Our server Hendry was awesome! We will definitely be back.
Service was really awesome and food was great. Overall it seemed a bit pricey, but would still come back.
Always a good experience dining here. We have been coming here and it does not disappoint.

BETTER THAN DIN TAI FUNG!
Nobody can beat Paradise Dynasty's Xiao Long Baos. Nobody.
Their xiao long bao variety is very unique and all are extremely tasty. I was so shocked that they had chicken xiao long bao. I have only tried chicken xiao long bao from Trader Joe's and a small place in Chinatown in NY but none of them were as good as the chicken xiao long baos here. I am apalled at how they're able to create a xiao long bao with chicken without it having a raw smell or cartilage mixed in. And the best part? The soup inside. Wow.
The only thing I want to complain about is the fact that they changed their xiao long bao sauce a while back and now it's more sweet than sour. I used to love their sauce but the new one is not my favorite. Also now they don't even give you xiao long bao sauce unless you ask for it for takeout so make sure to ask for xlb sauce and ginger.
Since everyone likes to compare PD with Din Tai Fung, I can say that PD is definitely better. I've had DTF twice in the past, yes twice, to make sure that the first time wasn't just a bad day for the chefs, and it was horrible both times. DTF is not authentic asian cuisine, it caters to western people. As a Chinese/Taiwanese American I have to say that PD takes the cake and will always be better than DTF.
My favorite dishes are the Chicken xiao long bao, sauteed pea shoots, hot&sour noodle soup, sweet & sour fish, and spicy wood ear mushrooms. Our server Hendry was amazing on Christmas Eve!!

We came here for dinner after trying to find an open restaurant on Christmas Eve 10 mins before the kitchen closed and are so glad we found this place! The food was delicious and comparable to Din Thai Fung without the crazy line. The xiao long bao, soup, green bean dish, and chow mein was so flavorful and tasty. The food came quickly, our server Hendry was attentive and checked in on us often. We plan to come back!

I enjoyed the food a decent amount - a nice selection with good taste- but the regular prices are a bit high (but comparable to competitors). I would definitely recommend coming during happy hour and comparing this location to other similar restaurants to make a comparison yourself.
