Penelope's Perfections has the best tasting cake I've ever had in my entire life. We had cakes ordered from them for my wedding and the cake texture is very unique from any other cake that I've had. I got married in 2022, but me and my husband are repeat customers and would try to order doordash here and there. Unfortunately me and my husband moved down to Buena Park where delivery was not available. Today in January of 2025, we tried walking into try to buy baked goods from their cake window but unfortunately that's no longer available which is really sad. Just remember if you're craving their cake, Order ahead of time as they are now appointment only. Highly recommend their cakes and their chocolate decadence cookies.

The we doing cake and pastries that Penelope’s made for our wedding were the highlight of the night. Everyone loved everything they made. They do excellent work. I recommend them for any occasion. They are very accommodating and knowledgeable. Thank you Penelope and crew for helping make our wedding amazing

We hired Penelope’s Perfections to make the cake for our wedding on July 20th and it was one of the best decisions we made. From Day 1, we had a great experience working with the team. Rodrick provided us with an amazing tasting experience, educating us on the different types of cakes and walking us through their baking process. One of the hardest decisions we had to make was deciding on cake flavor, as every flavor we tried was incredible. The team was also very accommodating when we made a number of changes to our order prior to the wedding day. The cake itself turned out amazing - our guests couldn’t stop raving about how it was one of the only times they actually enjoyed cake at a wedding. Could not recommend Penelope’s Perfections more!

My overall experience with Penelope's Perfection was.... perfection! The cake tasting was so fun and delicious. The communication back and forth was easy. The cake was delivered without a hitch and had the right amount of recommended time to sit etc. The cake was beautiful and the floral arrangements on the cake were exactly what the bride has envisioned. Lastly, the cake was delicious and we had NO wedding cake left. That is a true testament to how yummy the cake and frosting is. I don't have the wedding photos back yet and this iPhone photo does not do the cake right, but I didn't want to forget to write this review. We would definitely recommend Penelope's Perfections to anyone needing a special cake and would use them again. I would recommend a cake testing as this cake is unique. We ended up doing several cake tastings and always came back to Penelope's. Theirs is far superior in my opinion. Thank you for a great cake and experience!

Was looking for an exceptional butter cream cake for my wife's birthday. Started searching on Google for bakeries and Penelope's caught my eye. I stopped by the shop to get a sense of what they were about and spoke with Penelope's husband who was so passionate about his wife's cakes, I ended up ordering an 8' vanilla butter cream cake. Per their instructions I let the cake sit out for what turned out to be a little over 5 hours before serving and I have to say, this is, without a doubt, the best cake I've ever had and it's not even close. There is really nothing that you can't love about this place.

I’ve purchased Penelope’s cakes since 2017 when I was pregnant with my first child. Since then, I’ve used them for every occasion, for all of the birthday parties for my two boys, and any other party. Their cakes are SO delish, I love the butter cream, and the designs are so beautiful! I’ve been referring others to Penelope’s and every one of them have been pleased. I’ll definitely be one of their long time customers!

This is the best cake shop in Southern California! My wife and I chose them to provide our wedding cake, and we could not have been happier. My wife had a rather unusual flavor idea (salted caramel and Bevarian creme) that wasn't on their recommended list; however, the bakers tried the flavor pairing and said it was actually phenomenal! So we got a custom designed cake with a custom flavor pairing, and it was absolutely perfect. So rich and decadent, but never overwhelming, too light or too sweet. Plus, it was the most beautiful cake I'd ever seen! We loved them, and you definitely will too.

The staff was very professional and thorough when it came to my husband and I deciding on our wedding cake design and taste. On the day of our wedding, the process of picking up our cake was seamless. My husband, myself, and guests were blown away on how the cake tasted. They all were saying it was the "most delicious piece of cake they have put in their mouths, truly a piece of heaven." We will definitely be looking forward to our one year anniversary and will be going back to Penelope's for future occasions.

If you really want to give a super goooood cake to your guests, you should have to buy a cake from Penelope’s Perfections!! They’re like no others. Trust me, nobody is going to live the cake in the plate!!??

These cakes are perfection!! Got a plain vanilla buttercream with raspberry and vanilla - was ready next day in the am. I decorated it with my own flowers and everyone was raving about how beautiful it was but then the actual cake ??? the merengue buttercream frosting is so light and nothing about the cake is overly sweet. Moist crumb, perfect layers. Definitely using them again and the owner was so friendly! Thank you!!

Thank you so much for the delicious cake. It not only looked amazing but the cake tasted phenomenal. Everyone at the party commented on how tasty the cake was. This was my first cake from Penelope's Perfection and it won't be the last.
