Made a reservation the day before and we were seated immediately after checking in, the waitress was very attentive and helpful. The wife and I will be returning soon.

Opentable Diner

Apple salad was very light, delicious and healthy. Loved it. The scone was so so but delicious iced tea with subtle peach flavor. My friends loved their omelette and chicken sandwich too.

Great service! I enjoyed my over easy eggs, peppered bacon, but pancakes were very dry... I enjoy this breakfast restaurant and will give it another go.

Lovely experience. The food was great and the portions were quite large. Service was fantastic & reservation was easy to make. Also kid friendly & had high chairs. Will definitely come back!

I had such a great experience at Plums Café! Everything from the food to the service was excellent. The dishes were fresh and flavorful, and the staff was attentive and welcoming. I'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this spot.

Brought my sister and her boyfriend here for their first time. We all had a delicious brunch and fantastic service.

We had breakfast here today with friends and our small dog. After finishing our meal and paying, our dog briefly barked when other dogs passed by, and we immediately hushed her. A server named Celsy then approached and said, “Sorry, we don’t allow dog barking.” I apologized and explained we were leaving, but her tone felt unnecessarily rude.

We frequently dine at dog-friendly places and have always been respectful and considerate of others. Unfortunately, because of this unpleasant interaction, we won’t be returning or recommending this establishment.

Definitely a good idea to make reservations. Staff was friendly everyone helps everyone. The matcha latte was OK, needed like a Lil more sweet, Definitely earthy. The Cinnamon latte also ok, lil strong not as sweet. The tiny Cinnamon roll was good but a Lil dry on the outside. The waffle was softer than a crispy Belgian waffle, still tasted good and the Berries were so good and fresh not mushy. And the creme on top super good. The breakfast sandwich was large so I split it. That was really good and we took home a take and bake Cinnamon roll which we are super excited about patio is dog friendly no dog menu but they should invest in one, maybe dog friendly pancakes and waffles with cream and Berries, dogs love that! We'll definitely be back to try more items

I came here with my kids and the fruit they served in the kids meal had mold growing on it. Both of the kids were really put-off by it and couldn’t finish their meals. I pointed it out to the server and she was kind enough to charge me the FULL price.

I strongly encourage people who like to pay for rotten food to try this place out.

Wow. I was really impressed with this little breakfast restaurant down in Costa Mesa. I was visiting the area this past weekend from West LA and chose Plums because I had heard great things. I can confirm that it is really great and it was honestly better than I was expecting. What makes this place unique is that they have really unique menu items and everything is executed really well. It’s in a small shopping center so there’s plenty of free parking right out front and it’s quite large on the inside. They have a lot of tables inside, and also have outdoor seating that is dog friendly. Our server was very polite and although the wait times are not as fast as a diner, we didn’t have to wait very long for our items.

I will say this is one of the best breakfasts that I’ve had this year, everything was seriously delicious. I started off with a Cinnamon Roll Latte and thought it was fantastic. It had great flavors and was pretty strong. Next we split the Giant Cinnamon Roll and it was amazing. It was way larger than I was expecting but somehow it was gooey and perfectly sweet throughout. It was not overly hard, or crunchy. For my breakfast I chose the Santa Fe Eggs Benedict Server Style, which means they swap out the ham for bacon and add avocado. This was absolutely fantastic. I especially liked the hollandaise, you can tell it was fresh and homemade and it had great flavoring. The eggs were also cooked perfectly and the bacon was unique and very peppery. It almost tasted like candy bacon it was that good.

Overall a fantastic breakfast option and I would say it is one of my very favorite breakfast spots in all of Orange County. I would highly recommend to anyone in Orange County or even to anyone in Los Angeles or San Diego because it really is worth the drive.

My daughter and I had a fantastic dining experience at Plums Cafe during a busy Sunday brunch rush. Our server, Consuelo, was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and made us feel like a priority despite the bustling atmosphere. She checked in multiple times, ensuring everything was perfect. Even as a party of two, we were impressed by the efficiency: we ordered, received our food, and finished our entrees in under 30 minutes!
The food was delightful. The breakfast sandwich was the star of the show, bursting with flavor and featuring perfectly cooked bacon. The chicken and waffles were solid, but the breakfast sandwich stole our hearts. We capped off our meal with the giant cinnamon roll—a massive 2-pound treat that could easily feed a family of five! We needed a to-go box for that one.

We can’t wait to return to Plums Cafe and hope to have Consuelo as our server again. Highly recommend this spot for a delicious and welcoming brunch experience!
