It was only me and I had reservations. Service was extremely slow although they were busy, it wasn't peak time. It was at least 10 minutes to get acknowledged after being sat. Large portions. Presentation was good and good came quickly. I will give it another shot. Food was average

The Plum Cafe did not disappoint. The Dutch baby is was delicious with all the berries. We split the spinach and feta omelette and the brunch crostinis. The parking was a bit sparse. All in all a very enjoyable brunch with great friends.

The service at Plums is always exceptional and the food is great as well. This is the perfect place for a brunch to celebrate family birthdays

Cute little spot. Great service and delicious food. The smores latte is like a mocha not to sweet with marshmallow and gram cracker crumbs... The french toast was unique.. it stays a little crispy so the texture is good

Worst experience my guest & I've had lately with a host & a server that literally rolled his eyes at me when I tried to make pleasantries with him (the host) & the server was curt to my guest. Say you don't want to serve with me without saying you don't want to serve me. Don't worry, I'll never be back & you can bet I'll be letting EVERYONE on social media know how your establishment treats people of color.

Food is delicious! We tried the dutch baby, french dip and breakfast sandwiches. They were all superb. I can definitely say it is worth the hype! Even though there's plenty of people, service was still good and attentive!

Drinks never came
Cinnamon rolls were only ok

Dropped wife off to grab table while I parked, she was being led to 4-top table in the corner by the host, the waiter came over and told the host to put her on the 2-top next to the original table instead stating “that table is only for more than 2”, then immediately they seat 2 girls at our original scoped 4-top table with same waiter and he says nothing. The waiter’s service itself to us personally was great, but that interaction/decision broke the experience from the start.

This place was our family favorite brunch place prePandemic (before kids got married). After pandemic: price went up ridiculously. For two of us (me and hubby) $100 and we don’t even drink alcohol - just food and tip
We would still go there here and there but not like we used to. They won’t miss us cuz it’s always packed.

Service: service is good. I prefer servers here than Urth cafe in Laguna.

Space is clean for such a busy place. I haven’t yet to use bathroom so —-
Only thing is that it’s very very noisy. I guess people are happy there.

I am extremely disappointed and outraged by this restaurant. It was the only place open on Thanksgiving in the area, and we were actually excited to dine here. But what happened afterward was shocking.

They discriminated against Asians. They didn’t give us water or plates—nothing was provided unless we specifically asked for it. We ordered the Dutch Baby with berries, but what they served was completely plain. When we asked the server where the berries were, she brought us an extremely small portion of fruit, and didn’t even give us any syrup. Later she asked if everything was okay—I said of course not—and she said she would “add a little more fruit.”

I also ordered orange juice. Every other table received a normal-sized glass, while I was given a tiny one. Only after I asked why it was so small did she bring me a larger glass. When we checked out, they charged me $10 for that one glass of orange juice. You might as well just rob people at that point—should I be grateful you at least gave me a cup of juice?

Their attitude was terrible from beginning to end. We hadn’t even finished eating when they came over and started clearing our plates, clearly trying to rush us out. Please, do NOT come to this restaurant. Their behavior is absolutely disgusting. 🤮

Breakfast is fantastic here. They offer many specialty plates along with all the traditional ones. They have outdoor seating with heaters in case it's chilly. Great place to eat.

Fewer stars were given for service and value. Initially we were seated immediately which was nice but the timing of the service was very inconsistent. We barely had time to make a decision and asked multiple times if we were ready to order which felt rushed. Then once we were ready to order the staff not return despite numerous attempts to catch attention. There were two wait staff persons the other one looked at me and I signaled that we were ready and she purposely ignored my gesture. She did not inform the other staff that we were ready. It got to the point where I had to flag down the staff verbally in order to place an order. This all took about 20 mins plus before we were able to order. Further the restaurant was not at full capacity during this period of time. The inconsistent part was upon completion the wait staff was much more attentive and friendly asking numerous times about everything and if we enjoyed our meal. Overall I did not feel the genuine sense of being taken care of on this occasion. The value of the food and service did not match the price.

Overall Plums Cafe was good, not great. Some things were solid, some things were mid, and a couple things were straight misses. Not sure if we hit them on a weird day or if it just did not live up to the hype for us, but that latte might be the only thing I go back for.
I ended up ordering the Hangover Burger, even though it sounds funny at a brunch spot, but it actually was pretty good. The burger itself was cooked perfectly medium rare, super flavorful, runny egg, bacon, good onions, all that. I paired it with their hash browns and that part was kind of a bummer. Hash browns were soggy, not crispy, which is the whole point of hash browns. I had to throw ketchup on there just to revive it a little.
My biggest complaint though is the English muffin they use as the bun. Nah. It got soggy right away, fell apart, especially with the egg. It just does not work as a burger bun. If they switched it to a regular bun, that burger would be way better. I would order it again, but it is not something that would make me say we need to come back here.
Now the thing everyone talks about is the Plums Famous Dutch Baby. This thing comes out looking insane. Like five inches tall, huge, full of berries, looks like a masterpiece. Then you take a bite and it is literally just a giant dough ball with no flavor. We literally had to ask the waitress how you are supposed to eat it because we were so confused. She told us to use the berries, squeeze lemon all over it, then sprinkle powdered sugar on top. Once we did that, it was actually good. But by itself? Not it. It tricks you with the looks for sure.
My wife’s experience was rough too. They messed up her food three separate times even though we clearly asked for scrambled eggs. Each time it came back wrong. The waitress was super sweet and apologetic, but they never comped anything which was kind of surprising after three mistakes.
The one thing that absolutely slapped though was the banana twist latte. Full 10/10. Perfect sweetness, great banana flavor without being fake, still tasted like coffee, plus the little rock candy on top was a fun touch.
Overall Plums Cafe was good, not great. Some things were solid, some things were mid, and a couple things were straight misses. Not sure if we hit them on a weird day or if it just did not live up to the hype for us.
