Had this place bookmarked for some time as BF has been on the hunt for a comparable place to his beloved meat pies from England.

We were able to stop by for weekend lunch. Parking in this plaza can get crazy because Sidecar Donuts is in this plaza, right next to Pop Pie, and is pretty popular. For the time we were here eating our items, we saw quite a lot of people arriving to get some donuts next door.

Anyways, onto Pop Pie! We wanted to eat our hot items right then and there, so it was good that they had some counter seating by the window. There's two tables outside too, but it was easier to dine indoors. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that they bring you the items on a metal pan that they take back and that they offer metal utensils for you to dig into their pies! They also offer a large water jug with non-single use cups, so that was another bonus.

BF and I ordered 4 items to share:
* sausage roll
* steak and ale pie
* classic chicken pot pie
* aussie meat pie

We had asked for the difference between the steak and ale versus the aussie meat, and it was that the aussie meat pie is a bit sweeter (think sorta like a sloppy joe kinda taste and consistency). I liked both and one would stand out over the other depending on what you're in the mood for (e.g. the aussie meat pie would speak to me if I was craving a sweeter savory pie that day, and the steak and ale would taste the best if I wanted a savory hearty pie). The chicken pot pie is a really solid pie here, with tender tender chicken, soft vegetables, and an excellent creamy sauce, wrapped in flakey goodness. I think out of it all, the sausage roll might be my least favorite since compared to the others, it was not as moist, but I do like the taste of the seasoning in the sausage.

Even though we shared the items, I was sad I had no room to try their desserts. The key lime pie sounded really good.

I’m ashamed to admit I had no idea this place existed. They have so much to offer.
Everything from meat pies to dessert pies, ice cream and cookies!
Staff is super friendly and the place is clean.
Decent price for what you get. The place is very small with very limited seating and parking can be difficult.

Just picked up a key lime pie and the crust was so bad. Just absolutely flavorless, stale, and hard. We had 5 people try it and all 5 had to spit it out. The filling is fine but the crust really was terrible.

Its a small place, not many seats. Looked like most people took their food to go. The place was constantly busy. The chicken pot pies were very very good.

Had to wait until they were done serving ice cream to service us. Order the OG chicken pot pie. Was honestly very disappointed. Was hoping for a good one. Maybe next time I’ll try something else.

Amazing pies with buttery crust. Was nearby and got 4 pies, the hog, steak and ale, chicken, and Aussie… all of them excellent. In terms of pure protein content the hog was best in terms of total amount and leanness, the Aussie had plenty of ground lamb and was rich, whereas the steak was also nicely lean but maybe less protein overall. The ube coconut looked amazing and will have to try it next time!

I drove in from Lake Elsinore CA and picked up an assortment of items from the menu and took them back home to share and sample. I purchased Steak & Ale, Aussie, Soyrizo & Egg, Braised Veggies in Yellow Curry pies and a Sweet Potato Galette. This was my first visit and my first time sampling these pies. I shared the pies with a small group and everyone loved the pies and galette.. I will definitely be driving back for more. P.S. While everything was very good, the two standouts for my group were easily the Steak &Ale pies and the Sweet Potato Galette!

Dropped in to pick up 2 pies to go, first time here. Considering it was prime time, 6:45 on a Saturday evening the place was empty. Came for two Chicken Pot Pies, that was the preference but they only had one. Dissapointed they didnt have more at that time of the evening, nontheless after the employees recomemdation the choice was the Aussie Meat. Got home back to Tustin, threw them in the oven for a few minutes and had to try them out. Chicken was absolutely fantastic, Aussie Meat, no so much...not my choice of flavoring!
Wish you would of had more chicken pies shouldnt of had to settle for the Aussie meat as I was still hungry.

The food, the crew, the vibe - all amazing! We had the salted caramel apple crumble (with the madagascar vanilla ice cream) and it was amazing! If you are looking for a meal or dessert and a good spot to hang this is it.
