I dont know if it’s weird to expect free chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant if you dine in but you have to pay here. Food was good, the CA asada burrito was flavorful.

Really enjoyed this spot! Every time I'm in SoCal, I'm hunting for excellent tacos and I'll for sure be back to Que Vida! Had the al pastor and Baja fish taco. Tacos come à la carte so you can mix and match. The roasted pepper on the side was a great spicy touch. Really enjoyed the pineapple agua fresca too. My friend got the bacon breakfast burrito and devoured it. Service was excellent, bathroom was clean, and I will be back!

I eat here with my wife and son just about every week. I have not ordered anything I didn't like. I'm a fan of all of their burritos and birria. My wife does the bowl. We keep coming back because of how fun the staff is, how good the food is, and how reasonably priced it costs. There are 5-10 different Mexican places just on 17th St and this has quickly become our favorite.

Carnitas burrito. Flavor of beans and rice was very bland. Tortilla was pretty decent. There is a burnt flavor that permeates the whole thing. My friend got the al pastor and noted the same burnt taste. They also were very sneaky in putting the now open sign above their store when it's been open for over a year. I like looking around my area as a drive or walk and giving new stores a chance, it's annoying to me that I should have done an online background check to make sure this wasn't a new restaurant.

I’m Mexican so I know quality Mexican food when I see it this is some pretty good quality of Mexican food if you’re looking for a good local taco place for under 20 bucks a plate definitely check this out. At least once you might find something you like.

Walked in on vacation from Colorado. Needed some Mexican. Johnny at the bar took care of me! Even with one minute left before happy hour ended he made sure I got my last order in! He reminded me of myself bartending. Great experience and great food !
Que Vida is my favorite fast casual restaurant in the area. We ate birria burritos here with mango pico de Gallo on the side. What a wonderful combination. It is also extremely affordable even for us coming from Florida. The outdoor seating, food, and staff were great. Que bueno!
Vegetarian options: Not a strict vegan but enjoyed vegetarian option for burrito shared with family member.

The food is good. I ordered the bowl that has protein option. When I asked for more avocado instead of meat (protein), the person taking the order said, he has to charge me extra for avocado. That is odd since meat is more expensive and I am already paying for a bowl with meat and asked to substitute w avocado. No other restaurant ever charged me extra when I substituted avocado with meat I was also disappointed when the same person said, if I do not want meat, I should go to the restaurant couple of stores from them; he was making decision for me where I should go. He may have thought he was being helpful but I saw lack of boundaries and rudeness. I had a good experience last time so this is my second time here - not as good of an experience.
