We wait in line for nearly 10-15 minutes, and while waiting the server provides us with a menu and a checklist of items to order, allowing us to be served in under 5 minutes after entering and placing our order.

Tried Ramen Nagi on 1/27/26 while shopping at South Coast Plaza. This was our first time for all in our party of 4. We all ordered the Original and it was great. Very tasty broth, and pork.

The format is that you order in advance off a paper sheet before you are seated. You select the item and then choose the noodle type, the spice level, the oil level, etc. Thereafter your party is seated, offered beverages and appetizers, etc. Pitchers of Ice water and condiments are provided on the tables. Service was friendly, fast, and attentive. Prices averaged about $18 per ramen bowl. Broth was very delicious. Give them a try.

Perfection. I’ve been to Tokyo several times and typically love going to Ichiran, so my expectations for solid, satisfying ramen were high. But Ramen Nagi surpassed my expectations. Some of the best ramen you’ll find. Excellent service, super fast, super delicious.

Ramen Nagi offers an authentic Japanese ramen experience, and overall, it’s good—but a bit on the pricey side.

The broth is flavorful and well-prepared, and you can tell that care goes into how the ramen is made. However, considering the price, it didn’t quite stand out enough to make me crave coming back.

One thing I really appreciated is their customization. They allow you to choose how you want your ramen—from the richness of the broth to other details—so you can tailor it to your taste, which is definitely a plus and makes the experience more personal.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming, which adds to the overall positive vibe of the place. Service was smooth and pleasant.

In summary, Ramen Nagi is worth trying at least once, especially if you’re curious about authentic Japanese-style ramen and enjoy customizing your meal. That said, for the price, it’s a bit expensive for what’s offered. The ramen is good, but not something I’d specifically go out of my way to return for.

Worth trying once, but slightly overpriced for the overall experience.

Holy long line, but worth it! Like in Japan, you choose your noodle and broth details prior to seating then sit down to wait for happiness to arrive. The spicy ramen is flavorful. I chose basic spicy level and it was pretty mild but sufficient. I like thin noodles to be firm and it came out perfect. The chasu portion was generous. The soup base was quite thick and coated everything well. Satisfaction. The side orders of fried chicken and gyoza are good compliments too. The gyoza is small bite size and the crust is crunchy. The chicken batter is a bit thick, but the crunch with the diced egg mayo sauce goes well together. Will not mind the long line and come back again soon.

It's good. But it needs a level 0 on salt.

Been here multiple times for their regular dishes and their limited time dishes. They are all great dishes, but as someone who has frequented other ramen restaurants before I find the Green King refreshing to have. The taste is similar to a tonkotsu broth mixed with pesto. If you're willing to try something new I suggest trying it. Also try their limited time dishes when they have it, but you need to follow their Instagram for the releases of their limited time dishes.

Overall a nice meal. Not sure if all the locations do this but what was odd to us is that you have to mark down your food choices from your entire party before you get seated. So even if you arrived before another group, if the other group all has their order ready they will get seated first. Once we sat down the server immediately picked up our paper orders. Within a few minutes the food started coming out. Nobody ever came to check on us. When it looked like we were just about done, another server came to drop off the bill. It was at this point we could ask for some to-go containers. To pay the bill you need to take the ticket to the cashier yourself. From the outside it appears like a nice restaurant with servers but in reality it’s a fast casual place where everything feels so rushed. Even one of my kids said this was the fastest lunch we’ve ever eaten. The staff was friendly but it just wasn’t the experience I was expecting. The location is conveniently right next to the parking garage plus the mall offers free wifi.

I feel like I can fairly rate this because I can only have the vegan ramen, which is good!!! But my sister said it’s the best ramen she’s ever had.

We will be back! Service was 100/10

The portion is kinda small, the ramen itself tastes good but a little salty to my preference. (Although I think I ordered the less sodium option?)
Overall, a nice stop to add while shopping :)

The turnover is good, but the outdoor patio seating is quite cramped. But the I would recommend the original one. I tried basil creamy like Italian style but little bit greasy.. but the fired chicken was soooo good I didn’t expect but really good.
