Love the products in this store and it's set up Just like the actual stores in Japan. It's got a food court and an arcade for kids and all kinds of booths for various services it's really a true marketplace.
Great place to get food and shop but parking is tough since it's very limited.
Lots of great food choices and fun to walk around in and see all the different merch!
Fantastic place. You feel like you are in another country. Great food for sure.
It's smaller than the other locations but still got good stuff and nice good court.
The vendors finally accept credit/debit cards! They are always friendly and food is great! Hokaido Ramen - spicy miso ramen is a must have! Only downside is waiting for a table...
They opened up to allow indoor dining and this is ABSOLUTELY NOT OKAY. THERE IS NO SOCIAL DISTANCING ENFORCED AND PEOPLE BUMP INTO EACH OTHER LIKE COVID NEVER EXISTED. ABSOLUTELY SO DISGUSTED.Note: there is nobody counting customers coming into Mitsuwa. There are no cleaning crew after people eat on the dining tables. There are many people who forget to put their masks back on and walk around without it. The tables are NOT 6 FEET APART FROM EACH OTHER. Just in this moment, there are 70 people in the food court area alone without any staff telling people to social distance.
I love coming to this location! It’s much larger than the one in Irvine, and has such a huge variety of products. Plus they have Mai Dō, Hamada-Ya, and a Daiso inside! There is also a large food court, but indoor dining is currently closed (to-go orders only). This location is clean, organized, and an overall pleasure to stroll through. I mostly come here to stock up on snacks + sweets, but every once in a while I’ll try something different and I’m never disappointed. Some areas were bare (probably because of covid), but other than that the store was fully stocked! There are always employees restocking the shelves during the day, and they are so nice + helpful. If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend that you stop by this location!
Of the 2 Mitsuwa stores in O.C. our family has preferred Costa Mesa. It is older the the Irvine Location, but has more to offer in the food court and grocery selection is greater here. The store is always clean and though parking is tight we always find a spot.During COVID-19 they are open on adjusted hours. On site security does a good job of monitoring and regulating the number of guests in the store. The food court is open with almost all running but on limited hours. I feel Mitsuwa is doing an awesome job during these times and shelves are always stocked. Thanks Mitsuwa, see next week.
A very dear friend took me here over the weekend, which I didn't know existed. This is the place to shop for authentic Japanese supermarket items or grab a quick bite. It is a typical marketplace you would find anywhere in Japan. The prices are double here because the items are imported. This particular place is bigger than other locations in Los Angeles county.

The pinnacle of Tempura. Shrimp is a taste thrill. Onion is excellent.
Great noodles and don't forget the tempura -- all different kinds of delicious tempura try them all!
Absolutely love this authentic Japanese food experience! Must try the tempura with a Udon but o always get an order of t, I just grabbed 2 of everything and really liked the pumpkin, shrimp, onion tempura and fish katsu filet!!
Really good udon for a super market. It’s a long line for lunch. They have udon choices then you pick your tempura. You can go crazy with picking many tempura but the best one is the shrimp. I got the beef udon and the broth was tasty. Fair prices.
Long line for this one but worth it. Main place to eat here at the market! Udon beef please
