Been to Shuck many times over the years. Always fresh and tasty oysters. On this visit, the selection was very limited and one unfortunate person was serving, bussing, shucking, and cooking. Eventually other workers showed up but I'd probably avoid the mid-afternoon lull (~2:30 PM) in the future.
One of the most refreshing and consistent oyster bars in all of Southern California. The quality of their oysters and clams are unmatched and the grilled octopus is something that you must try at least once. To have such a phenomenal selection of fresh shellfish, as well as sensational customer service every time you walk in the door is truly a rare combo, yet my favorite oyster joint pulls it off flawlessly every time.
