The donuts were pretty good, a little dry but overall good. They were on the pricier side but I would say worth it. The store was very busy when we went, so we were pretty rushed, but overall a good experience.

Donuts are delicious, service however is been terrible on the last 3 times I went there. I went to get a box of 6 as a gift to my husband and the lady literally threw the donuts on top of each other with zero care. When I asked her to separete them she gave me a dirty look and threw one of them in another box and left the original box looking worse than before.

I’ve heard so much about Sidecar Donuts, and I finally got to try them myself—wow. Hands down, the best donuts I’ve ever had in my life. Super fresh, warm, and absolutely flawless. I tried the Old-Fashioned and the Lemon Pound Cake, and while both were incredible, the Old-Fashioned was on another level. Pure perfection. This place is officially a must-visit every time I’m in Newport!🍩

This was my first time visiting Sidecar Donuts, and it lived up to the hype! I went with the half-dozen box, and my favorites were the maple bacon and Vanilla! An honorable mention goes to the butter&salt and Huckleberry both were incredibly tasty. Every donut was rich and packed with flavor. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for gourmet donuts.

For meself a doughnut is a doughnut is a doughnut, but such a provincial view utterly exploded when I found myself within Sidecar Doughnuts. Never have I seen such triumphs of doughnutery before. Cookies and cream, huckleberry, even the simple glazed partook of some yeasty divinity if seemed. Dazed by it all, I settled on a crumb doughnut washed down with an Americano coffee. Deliciousness incarnate! The definition of doughnut is going to be a very different thing from now on ...

Dry. I was disappointed. We ordered three different donuts on 01/19/25, and they were below average. They were dry. This is my first time at Sidecar, so I was expecting something different. I will say, though, that the visual presentation was great. I just can't wrap my mind around how average these donuts were. They tasted a day old.

My boyfriend raved about these doughnuts! So the next time that I was in California, he took me to get some. We ordered a dozen. It was crazy busy, which I was told was normal. I told the employee what I wanted as we built the dozen. I also told him no peppermint. So much going on, and I trusted him. I didn't even bother to check the order. I wanted to take the dozen back to my girls in Arizona and I wanted them as fresh as possible. When I first opened it and noticed that there was only 1 that I really wanted instead of the 3 that I asked for. Instead gave me 3 chocolate peppermints. I specifically told him no on those. I liked them but my kids don't so I didn't want any. I didn't find out until my girls were taking them out of the box. They were fresh and delicious but for what the dozen cost, I should have gotten what I paid for

Waste of time. Don't bother asking for anything. They tell you to come back in 20 minutes then they say they're slammed when there's only 3 ppl ordering. You ask for a doughnut with no bacon and it's too much to ask. If it's not on display just leave it's not worth waiting for. I wasted an hour and they couldn't set apart the doughnuts that I was waiting on only to come back and then they're out in 15 mins. Frustrating that you can't get any decent service and end up wasting your time here.

Went here for the first time (we live out of state) and when we were ordering, my husband asked what flavor one of the donuts was. She said “well if you would just look at the sign it’s this” and then turned around and laughed with her coworkers. I’ve never pressed the no tip button harder because the customer service sucked. Only giving it 2 stars because the donuts were really yummy.

My 1st time had cinnamon crumb was warm 😋 very yummy will be back to try more.
