My husband and I came here for weekday AYCE lunch and were impressed by the food quality, flavors, and service.
Though the restaurant doesn’t have much seating, we only had to wait a few minutes for them to clean a table and seat us.
Our food came out fast and I got to have my favorites like calamari, eel handrolls, and salmon nigiri. The mango salad was also tasty.
We noticed that although the rules state they will charge for excess food, the waitress was kind not to charge a group of teenage boys next to us who over-ordered and were so terrified that they couldn’t finish their food. That’s great hospitality.

This is one of those places that packs their rolls with tons of rice so you get full faster. I couldn't taste the fish in any of the cut rolls they offered during their lunch happy hour. Despite the AYCE I thought this place was a poor value and won't be back.

I came with my daughter at 5:30 pm and it was not busy at all. The girl attending our table was very rude when I asked for plates and chopsticks. 6 more customers entered and were helped almost immediately. We waited 20 mins and weren’t helped. Finally she came back to grab our order, but by then we didn’t feel like eating there. We’ve been here in the past several times and never had problems, I guess they’re under new management.

I love going to this restaurant! The sushi is always fresh and the rolls are always amazing. One of my favorite places to get baked mussels. Since it’s AYCE, I appreciate that they don’t give you big portions of rice.

Loved it! The rolls were amazing! But the crying of a kid🥹 please don't bring kids over if they gonna cry. It was nice before the family with the kid came and the child started crying. It ruins the nice atmosphere
Visited on Sunday, August 24 at 4:30 pm, and the experience was very disappointing. Service was slow and inattentive — it took over 20 minutes for our food to arrive after placing the order. Our server was wearing an AirPod during her shift, which came across as unprofessional and made it feel like guests weren’t the priority.
On top of that, there was only one employee making sushi during dinner time while every table in the restaurant was full, which clearly added to the delays. To make matters worse, one of the items from our order was given to another table, and the server openly admitted the mistake.
Even more concerning, some of the dishes tasted noticeably extra fishy compared to my previous five visits, raising questions about freshness and consistency. The atmosphere also left much to be desired — the restaurant was in complete silence with no music playing. I actually had to ask our server if it was possible to turn on music, and only then was it addressed.
Between the long wait, lack of professionalism, food mix-up, off-tasting dishes, and poor atmosphere, this visit was extremely disappointing. With so many other sushi restaurants to choose from, I won’t be returning here.

We heard about this new all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant, so we decided to stop by for dinner. In addition to the blue fin tuna sushi, the amebi sushi, and the scallop sushi, I would have liked to have seen sea urchin sushi as well. Compared to other all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants, they offer fewer appetizers. You should keep in mind that we did not receive miso soup and the udon on the menu is not included in the all you can eat menu. In terms of sushi selections, there were not many options, but there was a large selection of rolls. Considering that you order 3 rolls and you are pretty full, it would be nice if they offered a greater variety of sushi. As with the fish, it was fresh, but I was not interested in eating rolls. Overall the services were good and everything came out fast and clean.

Tried Koyi Sushi in Montclair for lunch and it was a great experience! The sushi was fresh, the portions were just right, and they had a nice variety of rolls and appetizers on the all-you-can-eat menu.
Service was fast and super friendly. They explained the menu clearly and checked on us often. The place was clean and had a chill vibe.
Overall, solid spot for AYCE sushi at a good price. I’d definitely come back!
