During the all you can eat, the options were all different versions of California rolls . When I came in, I did not get a big welcome and the waitress did not seat me. She did not ask if I wanted a drink like most places, she just gave me water… the rice had almost no flavor…

This place offers pretty good quality sushi for the price, so no complaints with the food. However, they are severely understaffed on the service front. There is no excuse that on a Friday night you only have two employees seating, serving, cleaning, etc. Even though the employees are good, they are so severely spread thin that it makes service slow. Not the fault of the employees but management. I’ve been here 6 times and every time it’s the same thing.

Went with a large group of friends to see how the All You Can Eat Experience would turn out! Wait was a bit long which was expected but our waitress did great and got us a table very quickly. She was very sweet and laidback as we placed in order for about 10-15 rolls, sashimi, soups, and appetizers. You can tell they were busy - but service was solid through and through.
The fish quality was actually not too bad! The Bluefin for all you can eat was top quality. I was VERY impressed and needed up getting 14 pieces of it.
Their craft rolls also had a plethora of options and all had some quality grade sushi. There were some that definitely needed sauces to amplify the flavor, but simply just asking the server helped. The Diablo, Mango Salmon and Popcorn rolls were definitely the top favorites of the night.
The appetizers were pretty standard and basic and can never go wrong with Gyoza or Garlic Edamame! The other appetizers like Miso Soup, cheese sticks, wings, not the best and can’t expect too much from a Sushi restaurant.
Overall, experience was great, one of the largest range of options for AYCE and again that Bluefin, definitely would be a reason to go with a big group. The more the better!
Definitely recommend and solid option!

I came here few years back, and havent been back since. After being flooded by the IG ad reels, I figured they stepped up their quality.
Went back for early dinner to check them out again. We ended up beating the rush since we were the 2nd table there. Once we put in our order, our first plate took kind of a while considering how quickly sushi comes out. Once the plates all started coming out, I realized the quality was the same as it was my first visit, mediocre at best. They added "no rice" rolls, which were probably their best choices. The nigiri, the amount of rice they put you would think they ran out of rice. AYCE price is same as all the other sushi spots around Costa Mesa, but the quality is not.

I had high hopes for this sushi spot, but unfortunately, it fell short. The service was slow and inattentive we had to flag someone down multiple times. The sushi itself was mediocre at best. The fish didn’t taste particularly fresh. For the price, I expected better quality. It’s not the worst place, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.

All I can say is, they open at 11:30/12 and you want to be in the first 25 ppl! They are really small and everyone is there for the AYCE, so once they are full, the turnover for anything to open up is going to be around 1:30ish.
With that being said, the girl that works most of the time is super sweet and is able to run the whole place solo. So service is great! As for the food, the price is +$40, depending if you choose to upgrade. Here was my disappointment. Lots of rules, expected, however, almost everything is served with sooo much imitation crab mix and or their spicy tuna, that’s all your really paying for and filling up on, aside from all of the rice they use and expect you to eat.
Atmosphere, just super small and very little room for parties bigger than 2/4.

Kid-friendliness: Have seen someone with an infant in a stroller, but no kids. This place is super small!

My mom and I went to it this place yesterday (1/2/25) and unfortunately we had a bad experience. We had the calamari that tasted undercooked as it was rubbery and had a pale color on it. The sushi/appetizers were bland and had no taste whatsoever. Spent almost 80 dollars on AYCE for two people for dinner time. Do not waste your money coming here!
