It was Taco Tuesday so this restaurant had a deal for 2 tacos for $6.50. With so many different tacos, we ordered 4 orders of tacos and an order of corn quesadilla. We tried the al pastor, fish, asada, chicken (x2), carnitas, cauliflower and chorizo tacos. We ordered take out to try the food at home. Since we have never had those taco in their meat versions before, we really couldn't tell which taco was which. They were all delicious though, some more spicy than others. I didn't like the quesadilla because I am not a big fan of cheese, vegan or not, and it was stuffed with cheese. My husband and son enjoyed those though. I am impressed with all the different vegan meats used by this restaurant.

So many options! I got the chile relleno, and it was delightful, except for the crema. The relleno was stuffed solid with a firm homemade cheeze, I think cashew-based. It went nicely with the big smoky pepper and the red sauce. The dish came with thick homemade corn tortillas, and these were top-notch. Rice and beans were okay. Quemada salsa was excellent. The tacos were a little underwhelming. The potatoes seemed baked rather than roasted. The asada filling was spongy and tasted of black pepper. I'm eager to try the other flavors, though. I really didn't care for the crema -sour and sharp. But I never liked dairy sour cream either, so YMMV. The beans and rice were more flavorful when eaten cold as leftovers the next day.

Easily one of the best vegan restaurants in Santa Ana. If you are visiting the area I highly recommend adding El Zamorano your itinerary - you will not be disappointed. The food was delicious and seasoned well. There is a shaded outdoor seating area which is dog friendly (free treats included!). I am from the UK and I wish we had a similar offering back home. The staff were extremely helpful and suggested I try the California Burrito which I thoroughly enjoyed. I came with a group of friends and sampled the chips, guacamole, and other sides which were equally fantastic. Parking was available next to the entrance.

I had a hibiscus taco & an al pastor taco. Great, flavorful combination. The hibiscus taco was particularly good. Also had a horchata which was a real treat. My only food complaint would be that the rice & beans were boring so I don't think it's worth it to order a plate.

The food was great, the service was great. What more to say! I had the Chile Relleno Burger and the Asada Fries.

We've tried tacos Carnitas, Chicken, Al Pastor & Fish. Classic Breakfast Burrito. To be honest out of 4 tacos only 1 was nice - the Fish one. Others - absolutely the same, wouldn't tell them apart. The burrito was good tho!

We tried 4 different tacos - chorizo, el pastor, hibiscus, and asada. All were delicious. Hibiscus was a truly unique flavor and was topped with a fruity salsa. Must return and sample the other flavors! Tacos are about $3.60 each and burritos $14. I have a hearty appetite and 3 tacos was just about right for me. Service was quick. Outdoor seating only, and unfortunately it's right along Harbor Blvd, so traffic noise was annoying. Great for take out though.

I came because I was intrigued by the idea of using hibiscus as a meat analog. I am not a fan of corn tortillas so the register guy recommended a burrito. We ordered chips, salsa and guac to go with our burritos. Chips were excellent. Salsa had a lot of heat but not much flavor and guac was okay (but hey, it was guac so it's always going to be okay at least). I was underwhelmed by the hibiscus in the burrito but I think it's because the burrito was so overwhelming with rice and beans and the huge tortilla - the hibiscus just got lost in there and could not be the star it wanted to be. My son liked his veg carnitas burrito. Simple order at the counter place with a decent bit of outdoor seating that is hidden from the main drag by a nice hedge. The Jamaica was fantastic and for that, I was really grateful. I might try it again but it wasn't an over-the-moon experience for me.

We’ve been fans since they used to do Sunday pop-ups, and are so happy to see this restaurant succeeding! We’ve tried lots of things on the menu, and they are always adding new items or rotating specials, including weekend brunch options like breakfast burritos and chilaquiles. My personal favorite is the potato tacos. A two-taco plate with beans and rice is the perfect meal. My husband loves the quesadillas and has been trying their different house made proteins each time. The nachos and asada fries are also both fantastic choices. They also have house made drinks, which almost always includes their vegan horchata. We’re lucky to have so many vegan options these days, but it feels great to support a small business who makes their cheeses and proteins themselves. Definitely give them a try if you’re in Orange County!
