Don't know why they pay the players assistants. They do nothing to maintain pace of play.

I am feeling quite ripped off. The rates posted online quote a weekend rate of $59 for Los Lagos, but when we played yesterday, were were charted $76, with the specious excuse that it was before 10:00 AM (our tee time was 9:49). That is not noted anywhere on the (ineffective and non-responsive website. The woman behind the counter was most unhelpful, just telling me that the content of the website is above her pay grade and that I should contact "Kyle" about it .. No way to do that on the website, BTW. Even Mile Square only charges $65 weekend rate....

Course is always in great condition and everyone in the shop is super nice. Pin positions can get tricky but it keeps it fun.

Played Mesa Linda yesterday and pace of play was terrible. They now had compressed the tee times to 6 minutes down from 9 minutes and allow fivesomes even with all walking. Took 25 minutes after teeing off to then hit our tee shots on the second hole. Also a problem at this place is the high handicap golfers playing the blue tees and taking way too much to get though the course. Spoke with a marshal whose response was he hears complaints all day but management doesn't want to hear about it. He suggested we post a comment on the club website so tried that today but for some strange reason the reviews section is now shut down and says "coming soon"...ended up finishing right at dusk only because of the number of players in front of us who quit and left...the demise of a once great club

Didn't even get done 9 holes in 3.5 hours. Whoever owns this place is a real idiot. Never played here without at least some issue. Most recent round someone's cart died in our group.... Not only do they not charge the ancient golf carts that all have seat tears in them... but of course they don't invest in having a staff to bring a new cart that this one died like any half decent club would. Thank god the course was designed well and is in good shape. That's it.

Wow, what a cluster F_ _ _. Had a tee time at 9:23a and arrived with a small group tournament going on. Looks like I may get out an hour from now. No management present to get the groups started on time. Called the starter and he wasn't any help. Just asked a Marshall and he stated there were five groups of 4 scheduled. He said they were behind.

Stacked tee times. 12:45 start. By 12 hole 5 o'clock left because that is ridiculous!!! I rather go to David L. 5 in the group in front of us open holes and Marshall won't push anyone to move faster. And $50 bucks. Never again will I give my business to them !! Thanks

We had a good time playing, but some their system needs work. 1. They said we no showed for the game so we got charged a second time. 2. Since they outsource their reservations, it was a major hassle to resolve this charge dispute. 3. Their staff doesn't deal with phones very well and just transfer you to the pro's voicemail. I'll remove or update this if they can resolve this matter.

Have experienced 2 big issues here with the pro shop. 1.) Pro shop guys very likely stole my brand new range finder ($450)- cart guys said they def turned it in, pro shop said they can't find it, and guy who was working the prior night is out for 2 weeks. 2.) got charged a no show (in full) for a tee time a month ago that I showed up for. Pro shop danced me around to golf now, and ultimately declined to refund the double charge. Course is cheap and alright. But between the pro shop guys, and the pace of play, I will never play here again.

Amazing drinks and food. Tim was legit and helped us find our perfect drinks. Cheers

Great course but you can tell the owner got greedy and overbooked tee times which is the main complaint here. It took us 6 hours only to complete 15/16 holes. Obviously they haven't addressed this issue. Slowest course I've ever played. People are teeing off within like 3 minutes of each other.

Slowest course I have ever played in my life took 6 hours just to play 16 holes, we had to just give up as the last two holes would have taken us another hour at least , I've seen similar reviews and comments to this and it still seems to be a real problem .

I eat the starter platter after every round and now I can’t button my pants anymore

My recent experience at the Costa Mesa Country Club Golf Course left much to be desired. While the course itself had its merits, several factors significantly detracted from the overall enjoyment of the game.First and foremost, the pace of play at this golf course was by far the slowest I have ever encountered. It took an astonishing two hours just to complete a mere four holes. This prolonged wait between shots was incredibly frustrating and disrupted the flow of the game. It seemed that the management could have implemented better strategies to maintain a more efficient pace, such as enforcing stricter time limits or adjusting tee times accordingly.Furthermore, one of the main contributors to the sluggish pace was the lack of golf etiquette displayed by some beginner golfers. It was evident that many players were unfamiliar with the basic rules and courtesies of the game. This lack of knowledge resulted in unnecessary delays and added to the overall frustration for those seeking a more fluid round of golf.To make matters worse, I observed a disheartening trend among some golfers on the course who resorted to cutting holes without any consideration or communication. This behavior was undoubtedly driven by the excessive wait times. While it is understandable that long delays can be exasperating, it is important for golfers to respect the course and other players by adhering to proper procedures. Such disregard for the integrity of the game only serves to perpetuate a negative cycle and further diminish the overall experience.Aside from the issues with pace and etiquette, I was disappointed to discover that the snack bar at the Costa Mesa Country Club Golf Course charged for tap water. It seems counterintuitive for a golf course to prioritize profits over the basic provision of hydration, especially considering the physical demands of the game and the necessity for players to stay properly hydrated. This policy struck me as both unnecessary and inhospitable. In summary, while the Costa Mesa Country Club Golf Course has its redeeming qualities, my recent visit was marred by the slowest pace of play I have ever encountered, taking an excessive amount of time to complete just a few holes. The lack of golf etiquette among some players and the practice of cutting holes without consideration for others only exacerbated the already frustrating experience. Additionally, the snack bar's decision to charge for tap water seemed unreasonable and incongruous with the needs of golfers. These factors combined to create a subpar golfing experience that I cannot wholeheartedly recommend.
