Located on the 3rd level of the Crate & Barrel wing in South Coast Plaza, Terrace by Mix Mix is an experience all on its own. The atmosphere caters to both classy and casual, the food exudes refinement and familiarity with strong Filipino, Italian and French influences. Service can be a bit touch and go, depending on how busy the restaurant is. Reservations are suggested as the indoor capacity is small. The terrace outside is modern and welcoming but can be rented out for events, so keep that in mind if you have your heart set on dining outdoors. The portions are nice, and the prefix menu is surprisingly generous. The bone marrow pizza is not to be missed.

The green salad, enhanced with a delightful peanut flavor, is crowned with succulent savory duck. While Caesar salad might seem ordinary, this version elevates it with the right balance of dressing and the satisfying crunch of croutons. It’s a familiar classic with a delightful twist. The pizzas here are a true delight. Each slice bursts with flavor, and there’s no overwhelming heaviness. Whether you prefer classic toppings or adventurous combinations, these pizzas won’t disappoint.

We came here on a Saturday night, my wife had called during the day to make reservations for 5:30 for 6 of us. When we got there, we waited about 10 minutes before anyone came up front to even acknowledge us, then finally when someone came up, they said they couldn't find our reservation. The place was empty so she said we would be seated right away. She said she would be back in a minute and left. We waited another 10-15 mins then asked if we could see someone in charge to get us seated, this girl acted like she did not care, no apology, no sense of urgency. Why are you even open if you don't want customers? We ended up leaving, went downstairs to another restaurant who were more than happy to serve us.

My friend organized to have brunch here on MLK Day for 4 people. I was set on ordering their Filipino Brunch from their Express Lunch 3 course menu with pork cheek adobo, shrimp lumpia, sweet longanisa and garlic rice but they sold out of the shrimp lumpia over the weekend and that's what I wanted to try. So instead I ended up trying one of the daily specials - Shrimp Fried Rice with Chimichurri served with Garlic Rice which was fantastic. Anything with chimichurri is always a must order for me. For my starter, I had an Albacore Tostada which I had tried before and it tasted just as I remembered from my first time here. Dessert was a scoop each of vanilla and ube ice cream,a perfect ending to a wonderful lunch date with good friends. Thanks to Valerie for a wonderful service.

I’m still trying to figure out how this wonderful restaurant is hidden away at the top floor in a mall. The food was fantastic. I had the best butternut squash soup I’ve had in a very long time. I also had the chicken Caesar salad, which was fantastic with freshly cooked chicken (not the usual dried out slivers of meat you get it most restaurants) and I don’t usually order dessert, but it was part of a prefix lunch menu, and it was also terrific and very refreshing. Don’t miss this place if you go to South Coast Plaza. (It is in the mall building with Crate and Barrel).

OMG, stop reading this review and go make a reservation now! I cannot believe it took me this long to come here. Sit on the patio. Yes, they have heaters. Enjoy a glass of wine. I highly recommend the Rioja. Go with the pre-fix menu and choose away. We did two pre-fix menus since we couldn't narrow down what we wanted to eat. Seriously EVERYTHING was delicious. They took amazing care of us. And then surprised us with candles in our chosen desserts. I am still dreaming about those mussels and could go just for that with a glass of wine. Side note: when making reservations anywhere if you are celebrating something let them know. You are going out to celebrate, so go big. PS - if you haven't yet make the reservation, seriously. Oh if you are looking for a date night spot, this is perfect.

How is this restaurant hidden in a mall? I went for lunch today and the food was terrific. The roasted butternut squash soup was my favorite. It wasn't too sweet. It wasn't too gloppy. It was almost perfect. I had the chicken Caesar salad. In most places you could expect a limp salad and a few pieces of cold chicken but not at this restaurant. The salad was freshly dressed and flavorful, and came with a warm piece of freshly cooked chicken. Don't forget dessert, it comes with a prefix lunch menu, and the ice cream was refreshing and delicious. I just wish I lived close enough to make this my regular lunch spot!

Been here two times. The first time, everything was okayish, so I decided to give this place another try. My experience the second time was worse. The servers, while very polite and friendly, were super slow and a bit disorganized. It seems the kitchen was also backed up. We ended up waiting 35 minutes between our appetizers and entrees. The food was okay but I think overpriced. Also, the desserts with ice cream were filled with chunks of ice. I was hoping to like this place, but it seems things are going downhill.

bad establishment. There are always dirty dishes and bad service. and people there don't like women in hijab. I noticed that they have a negative attitude towards them.

They didn't let us into the restaurant because they saw us wearing a hijab. We stood for 20 minutes, they did not allow us to enter. And then they said that their chef didn't want to let us in. Racists. I'll take them to court. I have a video of our conversation.

Been here several times & it just seems to be getting worse. Such a bummer because this place had so much potential!! There was only 1 other table here during our visit. Went for Christmas Eve dinner and our waiter laughed at my husband when he asked for something that the waiter misunderstood the first time, we asked for extra dressing 2x that was never brought out, for a while we didn't have a waiter and the bus boy had to assist - the waiter actually never came back and the poor kid had to help us. We felt like we were thing to be pushed out as quick as possible since it was the holidays. Food is overpriced for portion sizes. Unfortunately, this is the last time we will be visiting

One of their cook? messaged me and got angry for commenting about kitchen tips. Hey, the food, service, attitude, atmosphere, price... everything was bad.
