The owner told the LA times that this place was, “a place not just to eat chicken but to experience chicken.” And I think he’s totally right. I wouldn’t eat chicken here. I did experience chicken but not in a flavorful way. The chicken tastes like nothing. There’s whole pickles in the coleslaw. This is more branding than restaurant by someone who presumably knows a lot about money and not a lot about good tasting food.

Food and atmosphere was top notch, came in last minute for lunch and ate at the bar where we were met with exceptional service by the bartender manning. Definitely will be coming back!

This is easily top 3 if not THE best chicken sandwich in LA/OC. The fries were crispy and flavorful. Don’t hesitate. Just get in line.

never again. i wanted to try this place for the longest and very disappointed to say the least the chicken tenders are so small the fries are super greasy. don’t waste your money.

This has to be the nastiest fried chicken I have ever eaten. Grossly under seasoned and over oiled. The mark of good fried chicken is that it’s delicious on its own without being drowned in sauces. This did not pass that test, not by a long shot. Definitely not worth a second visit. The only thing saving this review from 1 star was the service. I do not understand the hype around this place but considering the demographics, maybe I do.

Very cool chicken joint. The sandwiches I’ve had are fabulous and so tasty. Large helpings and fries are really good as well. This is the Italian one. So delicious.

We are from Arizona and always stop here when we come to San Diego. Love the Firebird Chicken. The kids like the grilled cheese and chicken tenders but most of all the cookies!

BEST fried chicken in town, not only do they have the juiciest meaty chicken I’ve ever had, they also have gluten free! God bless the Crack Shack. Please cater my birthday, wedding and funeral. Amen.
