My 1st time coming here for lunch w my bestie Tammy 06.05.25

When we found out that there's going to be a Vox Kitchen opening up at South Coast. Was pretty excited!
Tried Vox before in Garden Grove City/Area.

What we Ordered

~ Prawns Garlic Noodles are delicious. Garlic noodles are on point and the prawns are big & juicy. A fav here for mee.
~ Seafood Scampi is also yummy flavorful dipped w the bread it comes with, lots of proteins.
~ Saltado- Filet is good. The filet is perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The fries are good pairing with the protein.

Their cocktail drinks are delicious also along being pretty strong. Love it!

This Vox Kitchen is a Chinese and Latin fusion concept type of restaurant.

The restaurant ambiance is low key restaurant with an outdoor patio area and outside dining area in front of the restaurant entrance. Have some greenery plants and simple.

Service is great and fast for lunch when i came and dined.

Great place to grab quick bites and scrumptious too.
Highly recommended.

Located on the 1sr floor at the Crystal court side of South Coast Plaza.

TIP there's a YELP WAITLIST you can join on YELP. Get on list a few miles away from the restaurant.

Been here in the morning after Thanksgiving, it's nice restaurant in South Coast Plaza in Irvine. Food is good and service is excellent! We glad to chose Vox to enjoy a lunch.

Mall restaurant that didn't disappoint. Very happy with the overall dishes, serving size, quality, service and flavors all really good. Great experience. Restroom was a little dirty that was really the only con and of course wait times very because it can get very busy.

Terrible service, they took our drink order only and we waited to get our order for food for like 40 minutes+, waiting too too long

Yes - VOX Kitchen is at South Coast and still pretty dang solid.

Note: If you're familiar with VOX Kitchen from Fountain Valley, their second restaurant is pretty much just as good as the first with both some limitations from the South Coast Plaza area and some benefits that I'll explain below.

The easiest way to get to VOX is making sure to go to the parking lot in South Coast Plaza on the West end. The restaurant is literally up the stairs or up one floor from the parking lot which makes it such a primetime stop. Otherwise, you'll have to walk across the bridge from the main South Coast Plaza store to get here.

One note to mention is to try and reserve ahead of time if possible. Much like its Fountain Valley iteration, this place gets busy quite quickly although it does move fast. We did note that they do have a center bar area that you can ask to see how long the wait is for there as well.

Once we sat down (we've sat in both the bar and outdoor patio area), you're pretty quickly attended to and all of the regular eats are available and are solid. The lomo saltado is still quite the tasty centerpiece here. We love getting the sirloin and the fires are ever so tasty along with the special sauce. Their pear burrata salad is also still so good and a great complement to any dish. No one in the area does it better than VOX here. We've tried a few other items as well such as the fired rice iteration which is lighter and still pretty good. You can ask for ketchup, and they still give unlimited pours of their lychee lemonade.

One thing we noted is that it does get a bit heavy with the meat smell sitting in the indoor area and even a little bit in the patio area. Just an observation in case you have a preference on where you're going next.

We can't wait to come back for future South coast visits!

I was genuinely excited to celebrate my friend’s birthday dinner here on Friday, 10/14/25 @ 530pm, but the entire experience turned into a nightmare. Out of nowhere, Kathy called my friend who booked the reservation and said she had spoken to management—because our group was now over 15 people, we’d be forced into a prefixed menu at $45+ per person. That was outrageous. Nobody in our party was okay with being charged that kind of fee or being stripped of the ability to order freely, especially when some guests have allergy restrictions.

To make matters worse, the only “alternative” Kathy offered was splitting our table and refusing to guarantee that we’d even sit together. For a birthday party, that’s completely unacceptable, and she knew it. We ended up canceling the reservation the night before because the customer service was appalling. Neither my friend nor the birthday girl who added guests was ever told about this prefixed menu requirement until the last minute.

If we had known about their hidden fees, lack of communication, and unprofessional handling of large groups, we would never have booked here in the first place. We wanted to celebrate together, choose our own meals, and enjoy the evening—not have the restaurant dictate our menu and seating. The fact that none of this was disclosed when the reservation was booked and when additional guests were added, is beyond disappointing and shows a complete lack of professionalism. We will not be planning any future events here and are relieved we chose another restaurant that has shown us respect and didn’t impose last-minute restrictions.

Came here for a date night with my girlfriend and honestly we loved it. We ordered a lot — Ube Cloud, Vietnamese iced coffee, seafood ceviche, garlic noodles with ribeye, spicy chicken & mushroom wontons, congee, and the rib bone soup.

Everything tasted solid. The ceviche was fresh, the garlic noodles were super flavorful, and the ribeye on top was really tender. The wontons had a nice kick, and both the congee and the rib bone soup felt really comforting. My girlfriend especially loved the Vietnamese coffee — strong and smooth.

The vibe was chill, service was friendly, and it was just an easy place to enjoy a date night without feeling rushed. We’d come back for sure.

Food is so flavorful and cooked to perfection. My go to order is the peruvian chopped salad, calamari, and THE LOMO SALTADO! absolutely divine. I think about this restaurant almost daily. My only complaint is that their garlic noodles are waaay tooo garlicy like a very pungent raw garlic flavor that can be overwhelming. But everything I have had so far is wonderful.

Amazing filet mignon lomo saltado for $25! Delicious and decent sized portions.

They have happy hour from 2-5pm but not on weekends or holidays. I went in Veteran's Day and couldn't get happy hour pricing bc it was a holiday.

Wished we could like this place but the two dishes had sugar added to the sauces, noodles were under cooked and fries were cold. Sent back fries. Waiter was nice and accommodating. Won’t be back due to sugar.

Our friends suggested us to try this nice place.... we know Vox' other locations but not the South Coast one. Getting the reservation sorted out took awhile which is quite interesting as it was not busy at all.... when seated our orders were taken promptly which was a positive... our pork cowl saltado fries and filet mignon garlic noodles were full of flavor and offered a good amount of heat. My ube coconut ale was a very nice beverage and complemented the meal. Unfortunately, we had to ask for the green beans twice but our server's suggestion to comp it is highly appreciated. Still, a bummer as the restaurant would deserve 5 stars instead of 4.
