Westend is a hidden gem! The food was top-tier—crispy authentic fish and chips, juicy chicken sandwich, and wings that were tender and delicious. Even though we didn’t stay long, the atmosphere was super inviting and definitely a place I’d bring friends to chill. Jon provided excellent service and made us feel welcome. 5 stars all the way!

I used to go to Westend a lot pre covid, and just started coming again recently, I have to say I am excited about the changes they have made. The biggest update is their outdoor back patio, it’s fully enclosed and has cool umbrella-covered dining tables, a stage for live music and stuff to do like ping pong, and corn hole; it’s the perfect spot to grab an afternoon drink and you can even bring the kids who can play games while you hang with friends. They have also revamped their food and drink menus and I can can’t say enough good things, the bangers & mash and hamburger are unreal…the rumarita is my go to drink but I may be partial. 🖤

I moved to Costa Mesa not long ago and have been looking for a good local pub. I walked by Westend with my dog one day and planned on stopping in for a drink, and ended up staying for 5 hours. John and Sue behind the bar are fantastic and chef Jordan developed a really thoughtful menu with French-inspired dishes you’d expect to find at more of a traditional sit-down restaurant. Overall, the people and the vibes are unmatched. Can’t recommend enough. They are also dog friendly which is huge for me.

We were looking for a place to eat before a show and randomly picked Westend and it did not disappoint. The owner was exceedingly kind and it the atmosphere beautiful and intimate.
We had the most amazing fried asparagus appetizer that had a perfect crunch, not soggy like most fried apps and I cannot stop thinking about the burger I had, one of the best I've ever tasted.
Can't wait to go back.

Genuinely surprised by this little hole in the wall! So glad i stumbled upon this constantly evolving menu, with fresh well sourced ingredients. The food was so good we didn’t even take pictures, that’s probably says a lot. We started off with the poutine, the gravy was thick and savory and the cheese curds were just the cherry on top. (8/10) So creamy and the perfect late night pick up. We moved onto the ceviche which is drenched in coconut milk and lit our palettes up! With crispy chips on the side for a dip! (5/10) We ended with the pork Katsu sandwich which was definitely an (9/10) for me, it really suited my palette with a bit of a sour citrusy inner and a thick piece of perfectly cooked pork, sitting nicely between to slices of milk bread! Perfection!
Fire flame cocktails and good vibes.
New favorite spot. Service and atmosphere are great and the food absolutely delicious! Brussel Sprouts were to die for. We will be back soon :)
This place is a true hidden gem. The food was surprisingly good - we love the pizza in a box. There is a lot going on in there, like 500 different lights and weird things on the walls. Kind of like a pleasant acid trip. The bartender (Lauren?) was really funny. She talks about life and death and how the sea will end up taking us all. I will be back soon to hear more about her life. Something is there.
Visiting friends in Costa Mesa and we wanted to go out but not drive too far so we checked out Westend on a Friday night. We were pleasantly surprised by the great food options and as the evening got later the energy elevated as local young professionals poured in the DJ started his set. We had a few more cocktails, danced and had a blast! Great experience with just a short uber ride. I hope to visit again! Thanks Kayleigh!

Service, Food, Drinks, Vibe on point 👍
Cool vibe and nice that its locally owned (the owner was ever there). Excellent service. We were able to walk in and sit down on a Friday night without a wait at 7pm.
The menu is very limited compared to what was online. I posted an updated photo. So at first we were a little disappointed. They are still in recovery since covid. This is mostly a burger/sandwich place now in my opinion. But if you’re in the mood for that go check it out! Burger was good. Jambalaya was ok.

Very disappointed. Visiting and found this place had pretty good reviews and was close. Went with 2 girl friends, sat at a table and was told a dj was going to start in a little bit. We were 3 of the 5 total people in this place. It was so dark we had to use our phones to see the menu.We got the Westend burger, shrimp po boy, and shredded kale salad added shrimp, and beignets. Burger was wrong (sent out a western burger) and I said no it's fine I'll eat it. She said no it's fine we will remake it. They took it back, took the onion rings and bacon off, and brought out the same burger. Meat, cheese, and bbq sauce on a bun. Fantastic -_- the shrimp po boy had 6 pieces of shrimp and not much of anything else. Friend (who has been to NOLA) was NOT happy with beignets. Hollow and crunchy. Not worth 8$. Our bill was 87$ and we left extremely unhappy. Oh, and parking is terrible. We had to call the place before we went to even find the ally to drive down.So all in all, just don't go here. Tell your friends not to go here. Maybe tell the people you don't like it was the best meal ever.Guess we really should have just gone to hooters.
