We came back from Oklahoma City to eat this. Like in a 4-day trip, we came here twice.

Generous portions, delicious bbq, and friendly service! There’s not a lot of seating inside. We usually take it to go and eat it overlooking Pebble Beach just down the road.

Our compliments to Art!

Dont judge a book by it’s cover.
The brisket rice bowl was insanely delicious. Tender and packed with flavor. Add cheese, tomatos and jalapeños to it!

We stayed at Crescent City for a night during our road trip. This place stood out as I searched for dinner. My bf and I shared a plate with 3 kinds of meat: pp, chicken, and brisket, and coleslaw and baked beans as sides. It was big enough to make us full. I wanted to swap out the chicken for tri-tip because I didn't see it on the special menu earlier. The staff/owner was kind enough to give it for us free of charge.

In general, I'm not a big fan of pp and baked bean, but their food was amazing to me. My favorite was the brisket. I wish I had room in my stomach to try the mac and cheese as well.

The only catch is that they serve in togo box with plastic utensils although we dined in. So the plastic knives weren't strong enough to cut the tri-tip, made it hard for me to enjoy it.

It was a small place inside, about 4 small tables for dine-in. Parking lot was small as well. Staff was helpful and friendly. I definitely visit again when I'm back in town.

We returned to Art’s this year to find that the food was still exceptional. This astere tiny and unassuming cafe is completely devoid of decor. However, this place is our gold standard for BBQ against we measure all others. We (again) ordered salads with brisket ends which was a glorious contrast of impeccably fresh salad and crispy-tender brisket. We only get to indulge on our rare drives through Crescent city- but the memory lingers! Given that we had driven hours to get there and we suspect others do as well, a large wall map filled with dots indicating from where their customers come would be a welcome and diverting focus while waiting for orders.

Unfortunately I really wanted to like this place some of the photos look great, I’m sure I got some poorly made food. The ribs were salty and seasoned very inconsistently no real tase and I’m eating around scary bits to put it lightly. Next if I didn’t have a drink I probably would have choked, every bite I’m reaching for a drink to help get it down. Brisket resembled overcooked crockpot meat the kinda stuff you’d shred into a stew and was about as tuff as meat can get. Chicken thighs was just covered in pepper and that’s about it no depth to the flavor closer to being cooked properly but it was still overcooked. Unfortunately I had a bad experience and I’d like yall to prove me wrong but I gotta rate it what it is 1/10 food.
Thank you arts
Last the staff up front seemed like he was trying to not care? It was just kinda odd maybe a bad day.

Got the pulled pork and brisket. Both were bland and under seasoned unfortunately. The portion size is massive! They were also out of Mac n cheese and chicken by lunch time, which seems wild to me.
