This was the worst food tasted. One other table had 2 people at it and it took 18 minutes before the waitress came. What atmosphere? The window was so dirty...you could not see the ocean. We will NEVER COME BACK!!! Even the drinking water was awful.

My family and I were in town for a nostalgic girls trip. My sister and I spent time in Crescent City as kids. Our grandparents spent their summers here and we took turns having solo weeks with them. We chose the Boathouse for our last night’s dinner out. Only a few minutes after getting our order in, the dining room was overwhelmed with the sounds of a tsunami warning blaring from every phone in the place. We were a little freaked out, to say the least. We had toured the lighthouse the day before (shout out to Alan) and heard all about the one in 1964.
We weren’t really sure how worried to be when Jennifer put it all into perspective. Jennifer simultaneously reassured us, reminded us that its usually better to be safe than very sorry, got our order packed up to go, and did it all with an amazing attitude, kind words, and a certain je ne sais quoi that I can only describe as the calming presence of an angel that has seen some shit and is not going to let anything bad happen on her watch. Needless to say, nothing happened this time, and the food was good, but Jennifer is the actual best.

The 5 star is only because of Jennifer our waitress. A tsunami warning went off about 10 min after we were seated. She promptly got boxes and reassured us. She is a gem! The food was good but Jennifer was the treasure. ♡♡

We were the ONLY ones there, and yet, it took an hour to prepare an order of Nigiri? My assumption is that they were busy fishing and catching only the freshest of fish right off the Pacific, while I ordered, and also busy transporting the rice directly from China at the same time too, which is why it took an hour to prepare my order or Nigiri...atleast...this is what I'll pretend to think, because in reality, preparing Nigiri shouldn't have taken an hour.

I’ve been in louder establishments but this place is pretty loud. The sushi was delicious. Very nice servers and attentive. It was pretty busy so that’s why it was so loud. They have something for everybody so it is family friendly. Thanks for the good food!

The food was so good! It's worth stopping at this easy to pass by gem! We had both sushi and American cuisine along with cheesecake and everything was superb!

Casual feeling. The service was friendly. Would greatly improve service with an actual greeting, asking if we want any drinks aside from water and how the food is. We got 3 different kinds of seafood boils. I asked for medium spicy and tasted no spice at all. Overall, I enjoyed our meal and experience. Had a great surrounding view of the beach and harbor from the 2nd floor.

We had the seafood boil and it was pretty good! The star of the show was our server, who worked the bar in the back. She was a hoot!

The amount is huge. The fish is not super fresh but OK. The price is cheap and there is a Japanese chief so the flavor is great.

We ordered seafood steam combo and it was amazing - crawfish and shrimp are musts! The source goes super well with rice and bread! (Also value for money too!)
