Terrible service and food. We ordered biscuits and gravy but the biscuits were burned black on 1 side and dough was undercooked in the center. The hash browns were extremely greasy and sitting in a puddle of grease that tasted old. The waitress was rude and rolled her eyes when we asked for the check for the 3rd time. We won't ever be returning. That experience with 2 orders of biscuits and gravy cost $46. Sadly, It was the worst food we've ever had at a restaurant. The only thing we enjoyed was the music.

Really nice place for lunch - the fries were great and the turkey wrap was also really nice (very big!). Chicken fried steak was also really good. Fast food, good service and lovely staff

Hiouchi Cafe is a gem! The portions are huge and satisfying—come hungry because you’ll definitely get your money’s worth. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a cozy vibe that makes it perfect for a relaxed meal or a quick bite with friends. Prices are very reasonable, especially considering how generous the plates are.
Shoutout to Alicia for exceptional service—friendly, attentive, and on top of every detail from the moment we walked in. She made great suggestions and checked in just the right amount. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend!

I butter have known better than to find a plastic wrapper about half the size of my debit card in my chicken fried steak, but that’s exactly the “surprise topping” I discovered after driving all the way from Brookings. When I clued in my server, her lone “Oh, sorry” slid away faster than melted butter. I’m all for mystery flavors, but unless you’re debuting a “Breakfast Confetti” special, I’d recommend rounding up those rogue wrappers before they make their next escape. And a reminder that “service” should stick around long enough to actually resolve the problem, not vanish like melted margarine.

Best breakfasts ever. Well known for the amazing pancakes, but my favorite is the breakfast bowl. Has everything in it, then covered with their super yummy gravy. SO GOOD!!! Great people, too.
