Had take out with a friend and it was delicious (tacos, rice, and beans) then got a burrito for dinner it was huge. But very blan, I guess it's what you order, staff were excellent.Food: 3/5
This is the best place to eat in Crescent City! The food is amazing and the family is so sweet. We just love this place. Eating in or carry out, can't go wrongFood: 5/5
We ordered shrimp, chicken burritos and Veggie supreme hurache. Shrimp and chicken burritos were good but veggie one was just okay. Prices were slightly higher.Food: 4/5
A must stop for delicious Mexican food. Ordered a burrito supreme (verde) a quesadilla, and some tacos. All were delicious.
Food tasted so bland and beans is watery!!!We ordered simple enchiladas with rice and beans. I don't know how difficult it is to make beans ?We waited for 40min to get our order and wasted our money and time. I would not recommend this restaurant at all!!!
The food was very bland. The beans tasted watered down. My husband commented that beans from a can we make at home tastes better. I got the shredded beef chimichunga, again, it lacked any flavor. And the supreme burrito with al pastor was nothing special as well.
We have eaten here several times and never been disappointed. Great selection and good portions. Chicken mole is fantastic!
I had chili Colorado and my wife had veggie tortas. Both were excellent! Homemade tortillas were fantastic! The service was very good, everybody was very friendly and helpful and kept the water glasses filled. It was a very hot day so that was much appreciated. Definitely recommend to anybody driving through town to stop here.
Food was not good. Menu items listed "veggie" but then said that it's cooked with chicken broth. How is that veggie at all? Ordered a torta that was disappointing to say the least. A big bun with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and peppers. Tasteless and not even beans included. The others in my party complained that their beef was too hard to chew.Parking: Very few spots out front.
The place is always clean the staff is great and it's tight of the main road. If you've read my reviews on Mexican food most of them have been from restaurants in Mexico. The beans and rice are okay but like most Mexican restaurants up in Northern Ca they take out spices to cater to the locals so the food is a little bland.
First time trying Perlita’s, Great flavor and food! Highly recommend the chicken flautas. Authentic flavors and definitely homemade. Great Michelada too! I will definitely come back!
Usually there chili verde is more than a green salsa over pork pieces. I always accepted their store bought guacamole, Green salsa is not chili verde. Usually tortillas are offered when ordering chili verde, but the waiter was confused when I asked for just a bowl of chili verde, so I should have never expected tortillas. Perhaps they had no chili verde in the kitchen.
If you're In crescent city, this is the real deal Mexican food. There was a very long wait for our to go order so if it's busy tourist season keep that in mind. They seemed very busy but did their best to keep up as it's a small restaurant and seems very popular with locals as well.
Traveled to Crescent City to visit the Trees of Mystery. We arrived around 1800 and were ready to eat. The lady working the front desk at our hotel highly recommended Perlita's, along with a couple of other local restaurants. Of course, I looked on Yelp to do my own research. Despite the mixed reviews, we decided to try this place. Once we arrived, it was already pretty busy. However, it did not take long for us to get seated (about five minutes). We were seated and immediately served chips and salsa. The salsa was pretty good, with the right amount of heat. My boyfriend ordered the chili verde burrito and two crunchy beef tacos. I ordered the carnitas. We're not sure where the poor reviews of this place came from. Even with the short staff (like most places these days), the service was good and the food was delicious. Thank you, Perlita's for some delicious Mexican food!
I wish we would have tried this place earlier - we were only in Crescent City a few days and we tried this toward the end of our stay. We would definitely had gone back if we were able to. We went on July 4 and they were slammed. My husband got the Chile Verde and a Chile Relleno. He said the relleno was one of the best he's had. Verde was very good as well. Tortillas appeared to be scratch made. I got the enchilada and tamale. They were very good. Salsa was good as well. Small restaurant and probably could be classified as "hole in the wall" - those always seem to be the best!
