Cheap hydrogenated seed oil used on some sandwiches. 35 minute wait on Saturday morning for an order of 3 sandwiches. Not very clean. Conclusion: more hype than quality.

I feel really conflicted writing this review. The sandwiches here are phenomenal - 5 stars. However, the owner’s integrity is what led me to leave a one star review. In my previous job, I was in charge of ordering food for meetings. I ordered frequently at Lucia’s (they’re a local small business and their sandwiches taste amazing - what’s not to love?) but one time I ordered to the wrong location. I called in and they told me that there’s no way to cancel but that they’d refund me. They told me to put the same order in again at the correct location. Flash forward a couple of months, as I’m going through my expenses, I realize I was never refunded. No worries, probably an honest mistake I thought. I called the store and asked to speak with Randy (the owner) around 10 times. He was coincidentally “not available” every time at either location. I then got his email and started emailing him - he never responded to a single email or voicemail. I am very disappointed by the lack of integrity and honesty and just the way this entire situation was handled. I have always supported local and small businesses but this really shocked me.

I’m a sandwich (and Italian hoagie) aficionado, constantly seeking out the best. I actually have an entire category of sandwich shops and deli’s saved on my phone. I will drive (or more likely ride my motorcycle 2+ hours just to try a new place.

Take it from me: Lucia’s is a rare gem. Five stars. Terrific bread, thinly sliced meats and cheese, fresh produce, homemade spread: they had it all.

And LOTS of it. I knew as soon as I picked up the bag: huge, loaded sandwich. I couldn’t get my mouth wide enough to get the whole thing at once. Then, I could only eat half. I brought the other half home and my wife could only eat half of that half. I enjoyed the rest the next day.

I should’ve taken a picture but was too busy devouring the thing. I will definitely be back, and I will remember to take a picture then. It’s as good an excuse as any for a return visit. See you there.

This is the big leagues. I have had many, many sandos. Roxie and Ted's in the city, Little Lucca in SSF, Star Meats and original Genova in Oakland, Picnic in Albany, Saul's and Local Butcher in Berkeley -- and Lucia's is right there. Simply amazing that they exist in Crockett!

Wow. What a sandwich. Definitely worth a detour if crossing the Carquinez Bridge. Had the NOLA and Italian. The sandwiches are $16+ but worth every penny - they’re loaded with meat. Super bright toppings, olive spread etc.

This was hands down the best prime rib. Roast sandwich. I have ever had came back a few times while the owners made them was great. Now that they've expanded and the kids are running it. The sandwich could not even compare very disappointing. When restaurants expand to make it better And just destroy the quality of the food. I won't be coming back. It was great while it lasted.
