Roy’s is very accommodating, because our crew came in with ten people and four of them were children.
They sat us right away and were fantastic employees.
Couple items were not on the menu like crème brûlée and our server said he will make that happen.
The patio was extremely busy but a server informed us plenty of seating inside and our seats would be saved while we watched the bagpipe show.
The staff is fantastic at SB

Stopped here for lunch today and soo glad I did. The first piece of the roll that hit my tongue made me to a little shoulder roll. The best sushi roll I’ve had all year. Really fresh ingredients, high quality fish and rice cooked to perfection. And the roll came out quickly and I ate it just as fast. The octopus in my opinion was a little salty. If not the that I would have given the experience a 5

Absolutely outstanding good, service and atmosphere! Had dinner at 5:15 which was perfect to see the sun set and hear the bag piper! Outside sitting is a dream due to looking over the golf course and ocean!

Waiter seemed stressed, he did not have any social skills and was very blunt. Atmosphere was good until a lady started yelling and shout talking for around thirty minutes and no staff approached the table. Customers were visibly on edge.
But the food was the main issue. Got the Toro which was actually Chutoro and the hard fat between the skin and meat was not removed. My wife got the “Wagyu” beef sushi rolls and the beef looked like it came from a crock pot, completely over cooked.
I got the “Hulu Hulu Hamachi Collar, and it was coated with sauce because it was very strong tasting/super fishy/not fresh but the sauce still overwhelmed the dish and it came with the smallest scoop of rice, so you could not balance the starch with the protein.
No drinks and $330 with the tip and this is a big THUMBS DOWN!

Perfect place to dine and enjoy sushi in Monterey. Beautiful atmosphere and impeccable service. Our server took time to explain the menu and give suggestions according to our taste. The place has sitting inside and outdoors. The restaurant is in the Spanish bay Inn and parking/valet is available.
Their cocktails were perfect and enjoyable. Its better to make reservations as the place is busy during the holidays.
