Tiny if any markup on wine and our server, Marc, was quite knowledgeable. Yes, the bottle prices can be spendy, but a $70 bottle here is way better than a $70 in the resort restaurants.
If you love wine, this is the place to try it. The staff is informative and strives to find a wine that you can truly enjoy. They have an extensive tasting menu of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Burgundy and many more.I prefer Bordeaux blends and chose the more "hearty" flight to taste. I felt guilty for not choosing a flight from local sources, but once I tasted the last pour...the Tuscany region blend, my remorse disappeared.Nothing like a tasting of the "Bold and the Beautiful" after a seaside drive. I forgot to bring in the piece of dark chocolate in my picnic bag! The bar area is charming, but they have outside seats if you choose. If you are a California native, go with an open mind and be prepared for education in old-world wine. The staff is highly knowledgeable.
This was my first visit to Stave wine cellar. It is one of the retail possibilities at the Spanish Bay resort. They have an extensive wine collection. I was tasting the half glass choices as I was interested in exploring their menu rather than drinking full glasses. I had two folks who were taking care of the clientele. Both of the wine stewards were studying in the sommelier program The Pebble Beach resorts offers to their wine stewards as I understand it. I tasted some very good wines and ended up purchasing more than I anticipated. I'm looking forward to enjoying them. If You like wine And you're anywhere nearby. This is the place to stop and taste and buy.
Make sure you see the bagpiper. Chill at one of their fire pits and enjoy the amazing views.
This is a great place to taste wine from all over the world. The sommelier’s are really knowledgeable without being elitist and make you feel right at home in the cozy space.

AMAZING RETAIL WINE SHOP!!
Their wines are wonderful and their food is Costco. I recommend bringing your own food to accompany their wines. I literally bought their chirizo and Manchego cheese from Costco last week. You're paying for Spanish Bay. Know that. Their wines are excellent. I'm sure they would allow you to bring a perfect combination to match their exquisite pairings. I would recommend a homemade tortilla de patata to complement the white wine of their Spanish pairings. Apricot preserve to pair they're sparkling Spanish pairing.

We went for the Burgundy wine class and had a great time. Jeff taught the class; he was super knowledgeable and his love of the subject definitely showed. Oh, and the wine's he selected for the class were great too!
Great service great wine. Chill vibe
