STICKS Restaurant at The Inn at Spanish Bay has unbeatable views of the Pacific Ocean and a relaxed, coastal vibe that makes it a great place to unwind.
While the overall experience was good, two dishes really stood out as exceptional. The Smoked Maple Eggs (soft boiled eggs | trout roe | bacon | roasted garlic aïoli | chives | smokey maple | grilled baguette) were one of the most unique and delicious dishes I’ve ever had. The Blistered Shishito Peppers (crispy quinoa | furikake ranch | garlic salt | lemon) were just as impressive, with amazing flavor and texture.
The wine selection was well paired, and although the service was a bit slow, everyone was friendly and professional. The combination of ocean views and memorable dishes made it well worth the visit.

Food was absolutely delicious…would recommend the Fried Chicken Hot Honey sandwich with tater tots. Atmosphere was great and even got to hear the bagpipes which was a treat. The entire staff was extremely friendly but Allyson went above and beyond. Would definitely recommend this place!
Be aware that this restaurant is in a country club. Most people were dressed in dressy casual outfits. The view was beautiful. The food was delicious. Everything was wonderful. You will need verification of a reservation to get onto the grounds.

My husband and I love eating here every time visiting Carmel. We love seeing the Bagpipe player too. We went yesterday for lunch (a day before our 36th anniversary.) We highly recommend this restaurant!

Today I was racially discriminated at this restaurant, and the two hosts that were there felt like other people were privileged more because we were the only ones there of color that stood out of place. I will never spend my money at this place nor step foot once again at some crummy place The food was on the house only because Luis the manager understood the situation. I appreciate everything he did, but I wasn’t there for a free meal. I was there for an experience & sticks managed to take that away from me. God blessed the dumb ones.

We were visiting Monterey on a weekend and I initially had planned to have dinner somewhere on the waterfront but it did not workout and we also had planned the 17 mile drive and saw this and changed our plans. Not waterfront but great views of the golf course and the ocean from the patio. I saw that the 17 mile drive tickets could be discounted if we chose to dine in one of these restaurants here. We reserved seats earlier in the evening so that we could see the bagpiper perform at around 5.45 pm. We ordered a few drinks, the smoked cinnamon old fashioned with the golf styled ice was my favorite. When it comes to food, I think we ordered a lot, the chefs special nacho chicken soup was underwhelming, the sticks burger was also underwhelming, dry meat and the cheese was not melted (not sure if it was supposed to be like that). The blackened fish tacos were very good. The bagpiper performance gave the ambience a surrealism. The outdoor seating had optional heating, we were not feeling very cold so asked them to turn it off. Service was good.

Really good fried chicken sandwich and the cinnamon old fashioned was great!
The view is unbeatable, and that's why you should come here! The glass patio walls make for a breathtaking panoramic. Other than that, our experience was mediocre. Our service was very slow, and not particularly attentive. The tater tots were excellent, but everything else was not worth the price they were charging. I was so excited to show this restaurant off, but it let us down this time.
